Road Trip Anyone?
Even if you don't live in NC, we'd love for you to road trip into town for the event. Yours Truly is helping out as Rhett&Link's e-vent planner.

Hotel Information I've reserved a block of rooms at a nearby Hampton Inn for a discounted rate of $72/night plus 12.75% tax. All the rooms will be non-smoking and will have 2 double beds. A block of rooms is being held until August 14, when online ticket sales end, as well, so BOOK NOW! Call 919-233-1798 and be sure to say you're coming in for "Rhett and Link," when you reserve in order to get this special rate.

Please WEIGH IN HERE as soon as you know your plans so I can contact you directly. I will be coordinating the room block and need to provide the hotel with ongoing updates on how many rooms need to be in the block...plus I may have other things I need to communicate to you. This discussion will be updated as more information becomes available, so be sure you've elected to "follow" it for regular email updates or check back frequently.

Please comment below when your plans are firm with this information:

You are definitely traveling into town to attend this event and need a room.
How many are in your party?
How many rooms do you need?
Hoe many beds in each room?
How many nights will you be staying (which nights?)

If you've already commented, I need a firm count as soon as possible. so, go ahead and post again confirming.

You may, of course, stay at any hotel you wish, but I'll only be negotiating a discounted room block with one. Still, if you're traveling from out of town, Rhett and Link have a special treat in store for you! To acknowledge those intrepid kommunity members who went to such lengths to be with us that night, the guys will stop by the Hampton Inn at midnight to spend a few minutes hanging in the lobby with you! If you've chosen another hotel, you can still join us, there if you like.

Thanks!

Just wanted to let you know we're aware there are problems buying tickets online right now. The reason? We sold out the number of seats that site was making available! That doesn't mean the theater is sold out, though! We're working to get the online ticket sales website updated to release more tickets and the guys have just told me we're going to add a SECOND SHOW! So, you'll be able to choose between the 7:00 and a new 9:15 show, probably by the end of today. Please stay tuned here for updates!
The 9:15 show is now posted and ready to accept online purchases! The 7:00 show is very nearly sold out, so if you haven't got tickets yet and prefer that screening, hurry!

Remember, if you're road tripping into town to be with us, we want to know!
Please check the original post at the top of this discussion for news about a special, personal appearance by Rhett&Link after the second show! Will you be joining us? We'd like to know. Please comment below!
UPDATE: The Hampton Inn reports that 6 rooms have been booked in the Rhett&Link block. If you booked there and did not mention the block name, you may not get the discounted rate! If you're traveling in and staying in another hotel, come and join us in the lobby at midnight for a Rhett & Link meet & greet!

The 7:00 p.m. show is sold out and the Galaxy Cinema reported yesterday that 107 tickets have been sold for the 9:15 show. The theater seats 230, so you can still get your tickets for the second show if you hurry!

I'm getting tired of seeing my own face in this discussion! Let's hear from those of you who are coming to town!
So, can we still buy tickets online for the 9:15 show? I thought the cut-off date was Aug. 14. Hubs seems like he might be wearing down (Yay!), but we didn't want to drive 10 1/2 hours and wait in line just to find out they're sold out. If we can still purchase tickets online, he just MIGHT decide we can go. Maybe.

Yes, you can still purchase online tickets for the 9:15 show, but they're going fast, so I recommend not waiting until the last minute!

Lynn, I'm sorry, but with the start of high school, it seems very unlikely that I will be able to get to this premiere. Sorry for my late response. Thanks for your efforts, though, you're amazing!!

Regards,
Em
I'M GOING! :D *Squeeeeee!*

Apparently Steve had intended to surprise me, but his elaborate secret plan was slightly flawed. So, I accidentally found out about it. There will definitely be three of us there. Possibly four. (We are definitely bringing Holly, our 3 year old, but don't intend on telling her until we're there. She loves Rhett and Link and will be so surprised!)

We will probably be getting a room from Priceline just because it would be cheaper by about $20, and we will most likely be staying just Saturday night.

I am SUPER excited! Can't wait to see everybody there!
You're getting a room at the Hampton Inn from Priceline for $20 less, Nikki...or are you staying elsewhere? Just curious.
@ Nikki Reed, will you also be able to make it to the meet and greet (Hampton inn Lobby ~midnight) altho because of its lateness and your little one i understand if you cant
Well, I'm assuming we'll get a room for about $50. We might not get that lucky. Usually, we end up getting a 3 star hotel room for about $50 when we use Priceline. I don't know what hotel we'll be staying at just yet. It will just be whatever Priceline gives us.

Mikequad, I hope to goodness we can make it to the meet and greet. I'm sure little Holly won't be on her absolute best behavior...especially after a 10.5 hour drive. But, I'm sure we'll go anyway. lol

I feel like I'm being a thread hog now, but to answer your questions, we are staying at the Hampton Inn for one night (Saturday). Priceline couldn't provide us with a $50-$60/night room like it usually does. So, we just booked 1 room with the Hampton Inn the old fashioned way. :)
