Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

Hey Beasts....I know there are a few Locklear related discussions going on, but I wanted to do something specifically related to your thoughts about the movie, from a typical movie review standpoint.

So, pretend that you've been given the task of reviewing the movie for you local paper (or better yet, pretend your review is going on the back of the DVD) :)

Let's hear it! We're gonna read these on the live show.

Rented it watched it loved it.

Straight-talking, honest, heart-warming. I loved that you used it to pick up on an important issue as well as giving people the time to tell their own stories or share a little part of their lives. Perfect approach and something that no big film-makers would manage to achieve in such an unpretentious way. My only criticism is that it could have been half an hour longer! I wanted more and you could definitely get more out of Ms. Locklear's reaction, or even in the setup of your hometown and school lives in the first place. Wonderful. I don't think I've ever used that word before.

I finally got my copy a month ago and watched it. Then, before coming here to wish Rhett a happy birthday, I had started my own discussion about it. I saw this, then realized the reason no one replied to my post. I have already said so much about it here in my discussion, on twitter and Facebook. I have done some follow up research about the Lumbee tribe and see that they still are not being recognized by the government, but they are dedicated to the fight. I thought I was in for an awkward comical search for a teacher and ended up wanting to know so much more about the Locklears we met along the way. I immediately watched it again with the commentary and enjoyed it as well. I'm glad I bought it, because it's mine now to go to anytime.
