Link's Birthday Is Approaching Quickly

Just throwing this out there. I understand that it is a ton of work, but it is rewarding. It has become a tradition for someone here to get something together for the guys' birthdays. Link will be 39 this year and we don't want to drop the ball now because I believe, if this gets to be too much for the ones that step up and take control of these projects, we should at least go out with a bang for their 40ths. And Rhett's is of course in October. Sooo, on that note. I am opening this up for volunteers, ideas.... The last couple of years, books of MBs artwork have been assembled and shipped. It doesn't have to be a book. But I believe something needs to be done.
Something that MBs from all around the world can get involved in, so usually, digital art that can be emailed or messaged, is the easiest..
Ideas, volunteers? Who's up for it?
UPDATE: Thanks to Maple Dash and Gumbo for a fresh idea for a book theme this year. We will make a compilation of photos of Link from around the world (picture "Flat Stanley" only... it will be "Flat Link). I will head up collecting the images via email and putting them into a book/album to send to Link. I need to work out a few small details about which image we would use, and how to credit the Beast that took the picture and how to label the location he virtually visits.
Keep an eye on this post for those updates, the email I will be using to collect these, and for the cutoff date. BYMB

I appreciate that.. keep an eye on this post and direct others that may be discussing this to this post. I hope some lovely Mythical Beast steps up and offers to be recognized for putting together in a Kommunity bday gift. I don't want anyone to feel rushed.

I can write something for them and draw something but that is kinda all I can do but I will do something because I want to thank them for all they have done for me.

Good, well...keep watching this post and we will see if someone steps up and decides to put it together, If you see any other discussions about this, direct them this way and we can get a good discussion going here about it. It took me three weeks to make, what I consider a mediocre gift, for Rhett. I got word that my cut off date was restrictive and exclusive and I don't want that to happen again.

What if instead of a book for his birthday we make like small things that represent our favorite episode or aspect of the show. Just an idea, and it may work better for the 40th birthday but we could do something HUGE for them then.

I love this idea for something for their 40th. Because gathering actual articles from around the world and then shipping them with a letter in one shipment is quite an undertaking..

I can't lead this year's project like I did last year due to taking care of my mother. If any part of the project involves digital components, I would be happy to participate.

We totally understand Heather. You know as well as I do that it can be a huge undertaking. You have your plate full. Make sure that once things are finalized soon that you get your submission in. :)
