RhettandLinKommunity

Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

So, without going into too much back story, I'd like to ask Link for permission to look into his genealogical history.

My husband and I recently discovered Rhett and Link and have been fascinated not only by their obvious talent and appeal, but also by the fact that they come from Buies Creek. We recently were married in and purchased a house in the town of Angier, which is often referenced by the duo. The real reason I would like to do this (aside from enjoying genealogy) is that I have a speaking suspicion that Link and my husband are somehow distant cousins.

My husband comes from another of the long established Harnett county and Lillington families. In researching his genealogy I came to the conclusion that there are only a handful of Harnett County families and they all spent 200 years having 12 children and marrying one another. I know that there are Neal's in his (our?) family tree but without permission and at least a little cooperation it would be both difficult and creepy to find out for sure.

Hopefully I've chosen the right place to ask, but this fif seem like my best bet.

Hi Sarah,

If you would like to contact Link directly about a project involving his geneology, your best bet to reach him directly is to tweet his personal account on Twitter (@linklamont). Unfortunately, Rhett and Link don't check in on the Kommunity as often as they used to, so he might not see it here.

Because of the character restrictions on Twitter, you might find it useful to direct Link to your post here so he can get more information on your project idea.

Good luck!

That's mildly depressing. I was really hoping to not have to go deal with twitter...I hate twitter >.>

I would suggest tweeting to him through the account Victoria provided, but with a link back to this discussion. You wouldn't need try and cram the above explanation into 140 characters, and he could also see you're a member of the Kommunity (which should hopefully be a good thing!).

Good luck in your search.
