Just Starting Out

Dear Rhett and Link, I'm just starting to make videos of my own for a video production class I'm in at school. What types of cameras do you use in your videos? I've seen you guys use a bunch of different ones but was wondering what kind of camera you use primarily. This would be a great help to me plus any tips you might have for an amateur. Rhett made a thread that is under "Burning Questions" section answering this. But most of their cameras cost 1k + I believe. If your high school you might not have the money to get a really noce camera. The camcorder my brother uses produces really nice quality video but retails for 1k, luckily it was sale for 800. But search around Best Buy for something in your price range.
