Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

This year Christmas and New Years are on the weekend. How are you spending your last two weeks of winter break (week before/ week after Christmas)?

My immediate family live in this same building and my other relatives are in different countries. We don't travel as a group much so I won't be going to any exotic/exciting locale this year. So I will just stick with movie marathons, curl up with a good book and have dinner with some friends. But it would be nice to hear how the rest of the mythical beasts (international or otherwise) fare.

Comment below: What country are you from and do you have a winter break/ vacation from work/school? Any interesting (or ordinary) plans this winter solstice? Do you get any R&R this time of year or is it one family/friend event after another?

Sounds like fun! Which movies are you going to watch?

Most of my relatives live far away, so it'll just be my immediate family this year. I have a two week break from school, which I will be spending reading books by the fire, hanging out with friends, and re-watching my Rhett and Link favorites.

the Netherlands. school: yes but it starts on christmas eve. work: no but i don't have to work that often (i have a part time job so...).

uhm... learning, laser gaming, rasing, eating, computering, sleeping, going to a party, and everything i've forgotten :P

don't u mean r&l time??? and i always have time for r&l so... don't worry :D and i still have quite a lot open days :D

My school break started on Friday; we don't get back until the 10th. I have AP World History, so that means some winter homework (blargh), but other than that, we're not really doing anything. We go to my grandparents' house, but they live near here. We open gifts, eat, drink, hang out, watch Christmas Vacation, eat more, drink more, and generally have a good time. Also, Rhett and Link. And much sleeping.

a month?!?!?! i only get 2 weeks :(

I'm from the United States and I do get a winter break. I get a month off from school but I'm busy. I decided to pick up hours at my job and I'm glad I did! I'll be heading home for Christmas to spend it with my immediate and extended family. New Years I will be spending with my friends. I have a birthday that's coming up before my break ends so I'm pretty excited :-) I'm usually busy but I force myself to get some good ol' rest :-P
