RhettandLinKommunity

Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

In the year 2043, the Lord of the Cyborgs will open a small glass case, gaining access to the purple button… is it really the Lord of the Cyborgs? I have a theory… a conspiracy theory… a controversial theory, as Rhett might say, that the Lord of the Cyborgs is indeed none other than Rhett and Link themselves. As several of us are re-watching the old Kasts, starting with #1 and continuing from there, we are noticing that Rhett and Link have been including little clues to their plan for… Global Comedic Domination.

Show #1: The Cornhole Song was just released. Look out for 2024.

Show #4: Rhett’s prediction: Superdog Island in 2017. Kast on October 8, 2009: Rhett planned on talking about a remote island… could it be Superdog Island?

Show #6: EPIC Kast… chalk full of clues!
They bring a hawk and a falcon on the show… Rhett is afraid of them both. September 2009, Rhett becomes Shahbaz. It’s almost like Batman… which Rhett discusses on the 1st Kast of the fall 2009 season.

They show Swedish meatballs with gravy… Live on the Internet, anybody?

They make guacamole… G-U-A-C-A-M-O-L E is released Jan 22, 2009.

Schnieldorf, according to Rhett, is going to be the most popular name for a boy in 2075. “King Schnieldorf” is a the live action role playing game name of the roommate in Surrogate Sharers Ep 3. Rhett and Link mention LARPGs in the SETI Song.

The most popular name for a girl? Barbara. Isn’t she one of our fellow mythical beasts? ;)

Rhett and Link mention Looking for Miss Locklear, which is now the object of happiness of many R&L fans.

As for the Bluetooth headsets, I think that they are code for the Rhett and Link earworms. Refer to the RhettandLinKabulary for definition of that, and now, the RaLearworm discussion in the Official Rhett and Link Fan Forum.

Now, we’ve only reached Kast #6 in our journey to watch the complete 2008-2009 series of the RhettandLinKast. I’m sure that as we continue, more clues will pop up.

2043, here we come!

Feel free to add your own if you see any clues come up in old and new kasts!!

Wow, you sure did put a lot of thought into all of this! It's epic! Haha :)
Nice detective work, my friend.

As for Show #6: "...They bring a hawk and a falcon on the show… Rhett is afraid of them both. September 2009, Rhett becomes Shahbaz."

We are only afraid...of what we become...
That made me laugh, but for some reason "Barbara" made me laugh harder. I don't know if it was the matter-of-fact delivery, or what, but it cracked me up.

Heh heh.. Schneildorf. Makes me laugh everytime.
My reaction too, Mel. ;)
Nalts found a mouse in his house... do you think it's our friend from the studio? He didn't say anything about blue poop, though... I think R&L captured it and sent it to Nalts.

Show #9 (2/7/2009)
Rhett and Link mention Snoop Dog in passing with special guest Allison. -- September 28, 2009: Snoop Dog makes an appearance in the "Live on the Internet" music video.

They discuss bad breath techniques during "Link's Golden Advice for Single Guys." -- December 11, 2008: They devote a whole show to bad breath in the Bad Breath Show.

They premier the the Dead iPod song, in which the "grandkid" says, "You mean you didn't have music uploaded directly to your brain?" Then Rhett says that in the future, you will be able to upload files to your brain. Rhett confirms this by citing and article entiled "Brain downloads 'possible by 2050.'" Here's the article: http://edition.cnn.com/2005/TECH/05/23/brain.download/
Wow, Teresa! You sure are good at making these connections!!! Love it!
This wasn't part of a Kast, but I couldn't help noticing today:

2005 - Rhett and Link in their short feature film, "One Man's Trash" with them in the back of a pickup bed and a robotic owl.

2009 - Rhett and Link giving Father's Day advice, in the back of a pickup bed and a robotic owl.

2009 - "Owl City" becomes popular on the music charts, and a group is formed in the Kommunity. Hmmm...

*GASP!* You're absolutely right!!! Nice detective work!!!

12/10/09 -- The Cuban Gynecologist Kommercial is shown on Leno. Barry Manilow performs on Leno that same night. You know, "Ultimate Manilow with that Mandy song on it. Gotta special night planned for the lady." (Referring to Bluetooth Cyborg song). O.o ...
Kast 03 - Rhett reveals that he was the King of the Fall Festival in 6th Grade (Leslie, R&L's "Middle School Girlfriend," was the Queen).

Fall '09 - Rhett becomes Shabahz.

First Buies Creek... next, THE WORLD.
