Feelings

Someone a long time ago, or maybe not that long, said something to me. And this person shall remain unnamed. And they said "If this were in other circumstances, in a different place, a different time, im sure i would say something along the lines of 'I love you too'". This moved me, almost to tears. This quote gives you a small peace of hope, while at the same time filling you with this sadness and I just don't know what to think and it drives me crazy. Has anyone else ever felt like this or have a quote that makes you feel the same? Or is it only me?
