hi

i found your videos and i love the production.

what kind of dslr, audior recorder, and lens are you using?

also what are you using to encode to youtube? i think the encoding process is critical?

i do videos too but definitely nothing like you guys.

my process encoding files from dslr to cineform>editing>color grading in Premiere>and then flash h264.

i have found sorenson squeeze but i think its not worth the money.

it seems that youtube does not like mp4 or h264 files alone. it has to convert it to flash and probably destroys the image when it does this. so i have found better results uploading flash videos so youtube doesnt have to do this.

would love to know any of your tips.

great videos keep on rocking!

Because the question gets asked quite often about the AV equipment and software used by R&L , Rhett created a discussion thread that gets updated from time to time - - -

I have also been following a young filmaker named Andrew Garcia who's just this past month completed a full-length documentary about the lives and work of a missionary family in Papua-New Guinea, and the results are quite impressive.  Here is a link to the trailer for his film "Two Hats" and on that page you will find a listing of all the equipment and AV editing software used in its production.
