Are you Gamers? And if so, are you going to PAX?

Guys,

Seattle Rhelinker here. I just love what you do. Man you guys have talent! I can't get the SETI song out of my head!! My little 4 year old girl is mesmerized by it too. All I heard today was "Play that song again daddy!"

Anyhoo, I'm from Seattle and headed over to PAX in a few hours. Seems like you might be our kind of people. So my burning question is... do you game? And therefore...

Is there any chance we'll see you live & onstage at at next year's PAX gamer concert?

I'm glad you see gamers as "our people"...we're geeks in a lot of ways, so we understand the connection.

but I can say that we're definitely not gamers. When we're not working (which is most of the time), we're with family. And if I do have a chance to do something, I prefer it to be non-electronic if I can help it, since I spend so much time at a computer.

The last time I was a gamer was about 1992 when I was playing Shining Force religiously on the Sega Genesis.

Yeah whatever:) Don't try to deny it. You have too much geek cred with your engineering degrees and familiarity with the term LARP to fool me! :)

Being a Gamer is not about how much time you currently spend sitting in front of an XBOX. Most of us are older now and haven't played videgames seriously since the Commodore 64.

Being a gamer is about having a lighthearted, fun-loving approach to life. Which you guys have in spades.

I'm with you.. since I got more adult-like and had children, I relish the time I get to spend time with them and have left videogames behind. But once a year, I love to hang with my old buddies for a couple days and geek out. Games are more social nowdays anyway. Rock Band and the anything on the Wii are great party games.

Don't turn your back on this valuable demographic!

Google "Pax 2009 attendance." PAX makes make Diacon 08 look like, well.. a NYC you-tube gathering.
