What generation is it? My ipod touch is a 2nd generation and the app doesnt work either

i have a 4th gen ipod touch. also, i think my friend has a 4ios iphone and it works on her phone.

I have an iPod touch 4th gen that it doesn't work on and the video podcasts on my iPhone 5 aren't showing the video.
