you could always give him a coupon book for things that you can do together.

Depending on what you guys normally do together for fun. IE:
I guess if its hard to buy him something special, you could give him a day to GEEK OUT
If he a gamer, plays a mmorpg, offer to join him on a quest, or some other game he really likes.
Buying gifts for nerds is really tough... so offer to go out with him to a Big box electronics store, and buy something that catches his eye while you're there.
Comic Book Stores...
You name it.
My favorite thing about birthdays is just having someone to spend the day with having fun, doing things that you don't always get to do. Just for the heck of it. Make the day about things he'd like doing. Go Eat, go play, go dance... anything is fine, just make the day "more" any effort you put into it he'll appreciate.

Sounds good, I am very much a geek like my boyfriend.. but we have very different tastes on the geeky ness department. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the advice Rhett ^^ My boyfriend liked the look of the Mythical shoes when I showed him out of the blue xD But he didn't like the blue ness.. Haha he is a red kind of man :3
