RhettandLinKommunity

Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

At what point in your career so far have you felt the most like a celebrity? Was it being recognized in the SLC airport? Shooting on set in NYC? Something else? I'd love to hear a story that wouldn't have happened without your rising fame.

It makes me feel good when a stranger recognizes us. Especially when it's just me (Rhett's not there) and I have a mustache. I mean, they must really know who I am to recognize me in "disguise." That happened at a Mexican restaurant Sunday before last.
Something happened today that relates directly to this....

We're in Alabama shooting another "RhettandLinKommercial" for a small business...I mean, we're in the middle of nowhere. Just after we finished shooting today, we stopped by a random gas station for a drink. My hair is all matted down because I was wearing a hat in the video, and Link has on sunglasses and a hat. As we walk out of the gas station, a guy pumping gas yells, "Rhett & Link?" He was a fan. We took a picture with his dog.

This is happening more and more, so while i don't necessarily feel like a celebrity, we definitely appreciate people saying hello when they recognize us. It's a reminder that people are really responding to our work.
um, Rhett, that guys is related to me. i didn't mention that?
