Hey Gumbo! You seem to be a pretty important beast around here. Is there a way we can get a message out to the Kommunity that Tweak Shoes has just opened up all sizes of the Limited Edition Pink Mythical Shoe for purchase, but only for 24 hours? There's around 20 hours left to purchase them in up to men's size 14, and I'd like to get the word out to as many Mythical Beasts as possible so they don't miss out on this opportunity. I've been telling everyone that they are endorsed by Chuck Testa because he commented on Rhett and Link's original post about these shoes that "Real men wear pink!" Pretty awesome! Thanks for whatever help you can give me.

Really! Though it always stuck me as kind of odd, I was under the impression that the count was only for the number of discussions, regardless of how many posts were in each. I guess I could be wrong on that.

Nevertheless, this does not change my high hopes for you: 100% discussion penetration rate by 2014.

Alas this is the regular job... the Minnesota Mythical meetup is a good two hours away and I just don't think I can make it there and back in time for work...

Sooo many questions:

Are you (Gumbo) now in charge of the event as a whole? (Or are you and Landshark one and the same?) Did the original poster not give someone the keys to changing the interactive map?  Can Atlanta not be removed?  Why can't we click to the host's profile instead of a mall location that will not be helpful to people trying to coordinate with each other?

Also - why is my name on the map with a specific location?  I never set up anything and definitely never "backed out," at least not of this Aug 17 event.  (I thought I was responding to an older, more general discussion that was still in the planning phases.  And I made that plain within hours of my original post.)

The reasons things are "that way on the Komm" is because of us, sweet Gumbo. (And because Ning is a 90's-era nightmare.)  Until we get a better communication tool, we'll have to be more intentional about communicating well, eh?

Please tell whoever's in charge we need a list.  I can't tweet a link to that map and have anyone know what it means.  And it's unreasonable to insist someone read through dozens of pages of back and forth to figure out final plans for each city.  That information is completely set now and should be easily available from those involved. Right?

So if somebody can get me a list of the following, I will turn the list into something shareable. THANKS, organizers!

• all locations -- city, state, and meet-up address
• all hosts
• date and times (if different from August 17 at 1 pm)
• links to city-specific discussions within the Kommunity (like if there's a separate discussion for Birmingham)

YES, please remove my name as a kindness to me and to others who might decide to go the day of and try to message me.  I will not be anywhere near the place on that map and I have no idea who picked it.   That map was made after I declined.  My name should be nowhere on it.  Nor should Atlanta.  Thank you.   

Mall of Georgia is not in Atlanta or its suburbs (that's why it should be removed - hope that clarifies). 

Okay we'll agree to disagree on Buford :)  but it should still be removed because it's 2 days away and is not an official location.  Otherwise, why not pin every city everywhere as "potential?"  Sorry, I'm not normally Spock-ish but that pin is just highly illogical to me :)
