    re: your MB name . . . just curious, did you title yourself after the Indigo Bunting (although it's actually in the cardinal family and not a true sparrow)? http://identify.whatbird.com/obj/203/_/Indigo_Bunting.aspx

     

    It's one of my favorite song birds, besides it's beautiful coloration. Indigo Buntings are actually black; the diffraction of light through their feathers makes them look blue - - this explains why males can appear many shades from turquoise to black.

     

    Closely related and even more colorful is the PAINTED BUNTING:
