What is your favorite kind of music? How did you discover it/how did you get to liking it?

I love indie music personally... My brother introduced me to it, and I was officially hooked.

To be honest im sort of a hippy.. I like psychedelic rock.. It soothes me. Some of my bands are MGMT, miniature tigers and Mumford and Sons!

@Kenzie Bishop: Mumford and Sons is SOOOOOO not Psychedelic Rock. Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, those are psych bands. Mumford and Sons (who I do love) is more Folk/Alternative.

I'm into classic rock and a couple modern groups/artists. I love The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, U2 to name a few classic rock groups. And now I like The Ranconteurs, The White Stripes, Jack White, Mumford and Sons, Taylor Swift, Owl City, and a couple others. I'm into real musicians, anyone who uses auto-tune is out the door.

@ Jason - - if you like what you are calling Folk/Alternative and AMERICANA music, you should really check out some Paul Thorn - - I'll post just a few of my favorites by him here to highlight the diversity of this awesome singer/songwriter, whether performing accoustic solo or with his touring band:

I love indie. I discovered it myself by watching random videos on youtube. my favourite bands are The Holloways, The Metros, The Kooks, Mystery Jets, The Enemy, The Paddingtons, Perfect Confusion and Cage the Elephant

I love rock from the 60s and 70s due to my parents growing up on bands & artists like The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, etc. I also like some modern bands & artists such as Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys, Green Day, and P!nk.
