Ever wonder about the stories of the homeless people you ignore as you walk down the street? My friend is a photo major and is doing an inspiring project. He goes out each day and talks to homeless people, trying to capture their stories with a thoughtful talk and hopefully a portrait. Check out his blog and share it with your friends to help him share this story :)

I am going out every day for three weeks and making portraits of homeless people. However, my goal is not to walk away with an interesting picture. My goal is to begin conversations with these people and learn their stories. It is my firm belief that every living person on earth has a deep desire to know they are loved and to know that their story, that their life, will not pass by unnoticed by others. I want to give them the chance to have their story told.

Very nicely done. If your fried ever decides to put his photos and stories together into video format please also remember to share it with us. For example, here's a fan vid of one of my favorite all-time songs by singer-songwriter John Prine . . .
(sorry, but the embed option was disabled, so you'll have to watch on YouTube)
He just started the project and will be updating the blog over the next three weeks with the stories, and then he'll post all the pictures after he's finished :)
Pretty cool. He's doing good work.
This is cool, I thought of doing something similar ones, but almost all the time, homeless people are inmersed in their own little world (which I find fascinating) and it would be really difficult to get a story from them. Some of them are not so bad, they even (like in some of your friends stories) still work or something, but the real wonder to me are the ones who just disconnected completely from the world.
