Has anyone seen the drawing (poster) of Rhett and Link kissingon the lips?

People (including me) ship them, thats nothing new. They have brought up shipping a few times but they haven't said anything negative about it or anything, I'm sure if they didn't like it, they wold ask people to stop doing it. When they talk about shipping, they seem to have very neutral opinions but if they openly come out and say that they don't like it, I know me (and many others) would stop shipping them immediately, but until then, I don't see any problems with it. I myself know that it is all pretend and not actually real in any way, shape or form (yes, some people think rhink is real, I am not one of them. The way I ship them is more in a character way, rather than a real person way and almost in an alternate universe scenario). I don't think people should be posting things like that on Facebook though, I think they should be kept to places like tumblr where people don't have to look at things like that if they don't want too and can easily avoid it with a few clicks. I know that it is a very controversial topic and not a lot of people on the Komm agree with it but this is just my opinion and I'm not trying to start any debates or anything. I have a question for you though, did you find it rude and disgusting because it was them in particular, or it was two men in general?? (Not trying to be rude, I am generally curious)

No, I just thought it was disrespectful that's all, because the person who posted it thought it was hilarious. I didn't know why he had to joke and think it was okay to say things like that. No, I'm not against gay and lesbian people. I just think if you want to have that posted don't joke about it say what it is and be done with it.

Maybe they thought it was hilarious because maybe they were making fun of the fact that some people think rhink is real. I don't know...but we don't know what they were thinking when they made it. I'm not defending anyone I'm just bringing up the possibility that it could have been the case

oh that makes sense. Was the person who posted it the person who drew it? (compared to saving someone else art and reposting it). Maybe they thought the actual picture was hilarious but that would be rude to the artist. I don't really understand why they said it was a joke but the only conclusion I can come up with was that they shipped Rhink and drew the picture and were proud of it (therefore shared it on Facebook) but then said it was only a joke so they didn't get hate for it because sadly the ship hate is incredibly real (moreso on tumblr) so maybe they were saying it was a joke to save them from getting hate?

What exactly is Rhink?

Rhink is the "ship name" for Rhett and Link (and comes from both the names put together). So basically if you ship Rhink, you ship Rhett and Link in an imaginary romantic relationship. I say imaginary because most people know that it is completely make believe and fake but some people truly feel that they are in a relationship, but I am not one of them. There is fanart (like the picture you saw) and fanfiction that also exists that writes/draws them into different scenarios, some of it just pictures them in a friendship way but others take it further. Some people think its wrong, but I believe the way that I ship them (using them as characters rather than their real life personas) isn't bad, I think the problem is more with people that strongly believe that they are in a relationship IRL because I think that crosses a line (involving their wives and children) that I don't think is ok. I can explain more if you like but that is the basics :)

Ok, Thank you, I do think the make believe "kissing" senerio goes to far. When I saw it I was like WHAAAAT!!!!! I know fans do stuff like that but to me that went to far.

I think there are far worse things in the world to be disgusted by. Really, what's so bad about a drawing of people kissing? It doesn't really hurt anyone.

Always find it a little weird to actively ship real people but at the same time I'm a full blooded human with a uterus so I can definitely see the appeal.
