Where do you work and does it have a high crap factor? Do you like working there anyways or are you ready to get out?

I was really kinda hoping for some answers so I can know what to look for in a job....
I worked in Elderly care. It can be rewarding, but it DEFINITELY isn't for everyone. One must have patience to wait for many elderly people, listen to stories over and over, do things in a particular way (especially with elderly women), etc. Depending on the level of care, it can include anything from just talking to helping with personal hygiene care. If working with memory care clients, it can also include rapid change of moods, confusion, etc. It is also not unheard of for clients with very very advanced dementia to do some things that babies do, like play in their BMs and more... So there is a real crap factor there... lol
I have always thought that driving professions would suck! I could NOT be a bus driver of any sort. I could not be a trucker and I could not be a taxi driver or kind of public driver. First of all, you would have to deal with people/clients in the vehicle you drove.. Then you would also have to deal with the other people on the road. And, if it was something like a bus or truck, you'd have to maneuver a huge vehicle in said traffic! Nope, not for me! I had to drive elderly people to appointments and shopping, sometimes, and that was one of the worst parts of that job, even more than the other stuff! I am not a patient driver, I have lots of patience for other stuff but driving drives me insane!
I also wouldn't want to me a mail man/woman.. Rain, sun, sleet or snow.. No thank you!
LOL a literal crap factor! But I ca see how this job might appeal to the motherly nature in someone. Kinda seems like something my mom would like to do.
I'm always amazing at mail carriers. That is a tough job, we did a field trip to the post office once and saw all the behind the scenes process that go on before we get out mail. Put a whole new light on the subject. :P
McDonald's crap factor is pretty much just the rush. other than that I enjoy it alot.
See, I work at a movie theater and I find the rushes thrilling, I work mostly concession so the need for speed is necessary, but i think that that adds a little more fun to the job. BUT! When business is slow, oh my gosh its the worst. You just end up cleaning everything over and over, that is my jobs crap factor.
But on the plus side you get free movie tickets and depending on the location of the theater, its a great environment overall. Also you basically get free popcorn, icees, and other drinks. :P
Knocking on doors is terrible. No one is happy to see you unless you're carrying a bunch of balloons and a really big check. I have worked two of these jobs.
When you see an ad in the newspaper that says "Wanna make a difference and help the environment?" That is probably your local branch of the Public Interest Research Group. They are a fine organization when it comes to consumer safety and environmental issues but they really need a better way to raise money.
Also, if you find yourself in an unlabeled strip mall storefront, listen for the big red flag: "This is not a vacuum cleaner, it's an air filtration system." Politely ask for your application back and request that they never contact you.
I've worked for some terrible places and usually last no longer than 3 years depending on the pay vs benefits and examining what else is out there.
In my experience, Red Hat Inc. has been the best place to work for hands down.
