the kingdom series by chuck black
Ok I'll probably look weird with these two choices next to another but for me it would be
"Jane Eyre" from Charlotte Brontë
AND anything from the discworld serie from Sir Terry Pratchett.

The first is for me up until now the most reasonable approach to love ever written: it's no because you are crazy in love that you should accept anything from your loved one. Keep your integrity even if you have to run away from love to do it. Who would dare to write something like this nowadays when adultery and one-night stands are so fashionable?

The second is a serie of comedic fantasy. What I love about these books is that you can never close one without having thought about serious subjects such as feminism, social revolutions, racism (or especism if you know the books), slavery etc... all the while laughing. The best - in my view - is that the author never gives you THE answer on a given subject but prefers to show you all the facets of a problem.
The best book I've ever read: The note book followed up by the wedding written I also loved A walk to remember the books are way better than the movies by Nicolas Sparks
I liked it because is was just so read and romantic. If you read the Wedding it's a follow up to the notebook. The book is way better than the movie.

It is about a husband reading their love story to his wife that has alzhimer. The wedding is about the dad and the kids life just before and after the mom passes. It is wonderful and I can't give much more about it away or it will ruine the story line.

My other favorite author is: Nora Roberts aka JD Robb. I also love Janet Evonovich (spelling?)

OK.... after hearing him read this.... OH MY HECK!!! I'm so going out to buy this book.... I might have to add a new fav. author to my list. Thank you for sharing this!

A glimpse of the awesome. :)

I wonder if John is a Mythical Beast yet...
This sounds intersting and also sounds like it could help and or commfort people. My son had a tick his freshman year in high school due to the football coach. The more stressed or excited he would get the more his head would bob. We changed schools and he slowly was able to get over it. He is a freshman in college and I can see him tick every once in a while but I don't think it's noticable to anyone but me. He was very blessed that he was able to be removed from the situation and slowly come down from it. I did take him to his Dr. and he said it was stress related and it endup being just that. But we wanted to check it out just incase.

It must be very difficult to deal with. Esp. if you are dealing with students. Kids can be very cruel. On the upside you are probably helping students that have this issue and helping other young people realize there isn't anything you can do. It's just who you are and there is nothing wrong with you or other people that have this issue.

I just saw a vlog yesterday where a mom has one of three children that has it. How she explained it to her other children and other people is if a person was in a wheel chair you wouldn't tell them get up and walk or run because you know they can't and they can't help it. So why would you tell someone to stop ticking. It was a very heartfelt vlog. Obviously it was longer than that but I thought she is 100% right and I wished I had that knowledge when my son was going through his tick stage.

Sorry this is so long. I think I will find this book as well and read it. Who know's maybe there is someone else out there who an use it or if my son starts ticking again Iwill have a better understanding and be able to help him.

In front of the class, forgot the author, About a teacher who has Tourettes, i like it cause there is finally a book that relates to my disease
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. I just love the concept and the way it's written. It's about two different gangs the Greecers (tough guys), and the Socs (Jocks). They're in constant battle over who's the best gang. I think another one of the main reasons I love this book is because of the character names. The main character's name is Ponyboy, and he has a brother named Soda Pop. There's not a whole lot more I can say without spoiling the book, so go out and read it! It's amazing!
Well, besides books like watchmen (amazing graphics, great story telling, moral quandarys) and Harry Potter (whats not to love) , and maximum ride (dramady story, sci fi angels) , I must say I like some books that people, at least my friends have never heard of. Dresden files is one of them , it has wizards, detective noir, and great comedy, it is a great read. Radio free fall another great book, music, sci fi, and conspiracys, brilliance on paper. Another great seires is warriors, fighting tribel cat, people say it is similar to red wall. The last book is called super folks, kind of like watchmen lite and a mid-life cirsis put together, plus tons of pop culture references.
paper towns written by john green!
it is the most awesome book ever written. i just love how greatly john writes everything including the characters
its about love, misunderstanding, how nothing is as it seems, mystery, revenge and the dificulties of being in high school
Artemis Fowl Fantasy book about fairies, dwarfs, pixies, centaurs, trolls.... that are all beneath the earth's crust. A really intelligent Teenager named Artemis digs into the fable of fairies/the people and eventually steals tons of gold from the fairy tale creatures that live below the crust. The book is just awesome and encumbers modern day version of the fairy tale creatures basically the entire book is my favorite.
I've only got the second one.

Cirque Du Freak by Darren Shan. It's a twelve book series. Best series EVER.
