Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

Hey there Beasties!

Just for grins and giggles, it’s time to show off your mythical prognosticating* skills.  Let’s see who is the best at guestimating what the final team standings will be at the end of the SuperNote 2010 Challenge.

Personally, I'm a great big analytical nerd so I can't just grab numbers out of the air.  Attached below is Gumbo123's analysis which indicates a resounding win for Team Smosh.

The crystal ball shows Team Mythical Beast finishing in a respectable 8th position, but as the old saying goes:

* prog·nos·ti·cate [ prog nósti kàyt ] (past and past participle prog·nos·ti·cat·ed, present participle prog·nos·ti·cat·ing, 3rd person present singular prog·nos·ti·cates)

Definition: transitive and intransitive verb predict future: to predict or foretell future events

My analysis is based on each Team Captain achieving a 1.0% turnout of their entire YouTube subscriber base as a SuperNote contributor. Doesn't sound like much, but this would yield almost 117,000 SuperNote entries over the month long term of the contest. In the first three days since the tallying began, there are already 4,753 entries, which is more than DOUBLE the total SuperNoters in the 2008 competition.

Bahaha. Clearly you've put a lot of thought into this! You crack me up. I'll guess Shay.
Rules to determine contest winner and who the true Mythical Mystic really is:

• rank your predicted outcome for the 15 SuperNote Teams
• your #1 choice is worth 15 points, #2 worth 14 points . . . #15 worth 1 point
• the same point scale will be assigned to the final SuperNote Team standings at the end of the Challenge
• the Mythical Beast entry that comes closest to the actual final outcome is the winner!
• GRAND PRIZE: a whole huge gobblybunch of Mythical Bragging Rights

No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. Some restrictions apply. One qualifier per household. You need not be present to win.
Make sure you don't do direct webcam capture to YouTube, because it cuts you off in mid super-note. I'm practicing now with my video camera.
UPDATE - - - We're # 11 and moving up!

My earlier prediction appears to be coming true - - quality over quantity is beginning to show in the results as the R&L fans log in with better, longer, more SUPER entries than the competition.

Go TEAM BEAST!

SUPERNOTE COMPETITION MIDPOINT UPDATE
As of approximately 9:15AM (Central) on Monday, October 17, 2010, these are the highlights

. . . 8,004 SuperNote contributors ~ that's more than 4x the total from 2008

. . . total SuperNotes logged to date of 185,252.1 seconds, if played end to end (without any commentary, shoutouts, look at my hamster, etc.) would take 2 DAYS 3 HOURS 27 MINUTES and 32.1 SECONDS to run

. . . Team ShayTard is holding onto a strong lead in first place

. . . Team Smosh, which has the 2nd largest YouTube subscriber following of all the team captains, has let me down and is still languishing in 8th position. What's up with that?

. . . Team Mythical Beast has moved up in the ranking from 14th to 10th place, and

. . . my initial prediction is becoming fact, as TMB maintains the #1 position for Average Length of contibuted SuperNote per member entry (28.614 seconds) , and is now ready to launch its late hour rally to move up in the field of competitors.

Stay tuned for further updates as the story develops!
