It isn't weird. Why is it weird that if a girl attracted to a guy (in term to know more about the person and spend more time around a.k.a. being friend)? Some girls (like myself) may find them interesting, funny, and sometimes more comfortable than girls to talk to. And there is also circumstances. If your surrounding are mostly men compared to women, you might find yourself spend more time talking to men statistically, and that is called circumstances.
But there is something called boundary, and also feelings. If you think that people think you are flirting, you might as well did. Maybe it is something that you don't realize (just came out of your mouth), or maybe it wasn't you who do the flirting. But if you do nothing to prevent or to stop yourself or even other person from flirting to you, it'll still be seen as an act of flirt by other person. And we do have guilt, you know. So when you feel something isn't right, stop or prevent it from happening. Ask yourself and people who know you first handed to know about your condition right now. Don't across the boundary, to protect yourself and others, especially our feeling. Remember, feelings or mental wound are somewhat harder to recover than physical wound just because we can't see it.
I'm sorry that it seems that I turn back your question to yourself. In the end, you can't prevent people from thinking anything they want, what you can prevent / change is yourself. Be confident and modest (knowing the boundary of yourself and others), and I hope you have a great day.
Haha ya I get it i have the same problem. Most of my friends are girls and people always give me a hard time. I wish i could help. But what i do is simply tell everyone i have a gf. The truth is people will think what they want, no matter what is the truth. If people can't see you are just trying to be friends with somebody of the opposite gender, then they have the problem not you.
There's nothing wrong with being friends with guys!
Unfortunately, some people will always believe what they want to believe, no matter what you say - so it's best to just ignore people who keep saying you're flirting with your friends.
Just make sure that, if you think any of your guy friends are starting to think you're flirting with them, that you make it clear that that's not the case. (I'm not saying they are likely to assume you're flirting if you spend a lot of time with them. This is just advice for if this situation ever happens :-) )
