MythiCon 2013
What if there was a Mythical Meetup in each state on the same day, just to meet other Beasts from your state? Obviously Rhett and Link could not go to them all, but if we decided on a place and time to meet, maybe Rhett and Link could announce it in a video so everyone would know. The meetup would have to take place in the middle of the state, and some of the teeny tiny states could probably just have one meetup for a few states. I don't know about other countries, maybe they could have meetups too.
MythiCon will be held in the U.S. on the third Saturday in August, which is the 17th.

UPDATE: MythiCon will officially start at 1 p.m. Also, I need one person from each state to be a "state captain" of sorts. They would do two things:
-One, bring a sign so that any beasts could see it and know where to go;
-Keep the conversation running, making sure that everyone gets to meet each other;
-And bring a medium sized box. Everyone else can bring a little something for the mail boulder (really little, maybe 2" high?) Then the state leader would mail it to Rhett and Link. The leader doesn't have to be the person who suggested the location, although if that person wanted to they would have dibs on the position.

The Glendale one will be at the food court of the Glendale Galleria. Try to find the two girls holding a sign. :) We might also go out to the Americana later on during MythiCon. But we will start out in the food court. Hope to see you there!

Is there any way we could set one up in South Carolina? That's probably the only way I can go. If anyone sets up a location there please let me know! It would be much appreciated!

Ok on page 16 of this discussion Adam was asking about a South Carolina location. You could try to get in touch with him. However, the North Carolina meet is sort of close to South Carolina. Or you can just add a location.

My schedule is very iffy. I may not be able to attend the Bismark, North Dakota Mythicon. In which case, another mythical beast in ND may need to take my place as leader.

Hannah has just become the North Texas team leader and host for MythiCon 2013
. . . are are you just asking? I'm a huger supporter of a N. TX meet-up, although not able to attend myself due to prior commitments that day.
If you are serious, you should start immediately inviting the local MBs . . . check out the Texas links on the Great American Road Trip and also those pinned on the MB International Map project . . . I believe there are more than a few right here in DFW who would be glad to participate. If not the Lewisville location, maybe gather around the ice skating rink at The Galleria.

The real question is, would the all-mysterious Gumbo go to a meetup if he didn't have other obligations? It seems a risky move as far as anonymity goes. :)
