Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

As slightly joked about in today's episode of Good Mythical More " 2 Guys 2 Straitjackets" when Link said he pictured that they had opened a restaurant, all kinds of ideas ran through my mind. What would they name that restaurant, what would be on the menu?

I have some ideas...

First on the menu, of course, Barbeque! Would Link limit other menu items to suit his taste? Would they offer specialties that were plays on things they had eaten on the show? Weird things, hot things? Would it be a down home type of place that you could go to in your Wal-Mart clothes, or would they want it to be more classy?

Second..names, names? I know there are many that hang out here that are not fans of names. ;) But, for a restaurant, what would be fitting? Would they stick with their brand and make it Mythical? Or would it be something completely unexpected and out of the ordinary.

I thought we could use this discussion to throw some fun ideas around about this. Hey, who knows...maybe one day they will decide to actually open a restaurant and turn to us for ideas and we will have beat them to the punch.

310 is the area code for a portion of the Los Angeles, CA metro that includes THE CITY OF BURBANK where GMM Studios and Mythical Entertainment, Inc. are located.

867-5309 ~ is for Jenny.

I doubt that this number actually works from ANY area code in the U.S.A.

The song, released in late 1981, initially gained popularity on the American West Coast in January 1982; many who had the number soon abandoned it because of unwanted calls.

"When we'd first get calls at 2 or 3 in the morning, my husband would answer the phone. He can't hear too well. They'd ask for Jenny, and he'd say 'Jimmy doesn't live here any more.' (...) Tommy Tutone was the one who had the record. I'd like to get hold of his neck and choke him."

she changed her number in 1982.

Food Biscuits?

Mouth Biscuits?

I'll let you know when i come up with something thats actually creative lol I'm usually really good at this stuff

Buttermilk Biscuits?

Why buttermilk?

Simply because they are THE BEST, of course.

I hesitated on posting that response, fearful that it might not translate well to International MBs or Yankees (*cough* NJ * cough*) but it was too punny of an opportunity to pass up. So now, as a favor and service to all mankind, I must post this as a means of explanation . . .

Buttermilk Biscuit Recipe

Ingredients
Nonstick cooking spray
2 cups spelt flour
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon sea salt
¼ cup sugar
4 tablespoon vegetable shortening
2/3 cup heavy or whipping cream / half and half works too
1 cup buttermilk, or until dough is like cottage cheese
1 cup whole-wheat flour for shaping the wet dough into biscuits
2 tablespoons melted butter to brush over the baked biscuits

Method

Preheat the oven to 425F; spray cookie sheet or cast iron skillet with non-stick spray; combine dry ingredients except for the 1 cup flour for shaping the dough; stir in buttermilk and cream and let stand for 2-3 minutes. Flour your hands and softly shape your biscuits. If you’re rushing, use an ice-cream scope. Place the biscuits tightly against each other on wax paper so they will rise up instead of out. Sprinkle with flour then place then on the sprayed surface for baking. Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and brush with the melted butter and serve, makes about a dozen biscuits.
and what better way to enjoy them with some real Chocolate Gravy!
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar...
1 heaping Tbsp flour
3/4 Tbsp cocoa

Mix dry ingredients. Pour in milk and mix well. Stir constantly over medium heat until thick. Remove from heat. Add 1/4 tsp vanilla and 1/2 Tbsp butter. I like to add a pinch of salt. Enjoy!
