Live, Love (Humorous Short Story)

I was shot down by you, rejected. I fell through the clouds, neglected. With no parachute to save me, no hand reached from the sky. So I fell and I fell, and I fell, and then I presume I died.

I awoke atop amorphous gumdrops that formed a non-saline sea, syncronized my watch and then was beaten to death by other dead people for being a twat.

When I awoke the second time in the second afterlife I found myself…

"Squinchilla is my daughter."

On the Metro today, my dad turned to me and told me that a new girl he's working with is very interested in the indie music scene, so he asked her if she had ever heard of "these great two guys called Rhett and Link". She said that she hadn't, so he showed her this site and she listened to several songs -- "We listened to The Fallen Founding Fathers of the... Freelance Fireworks Hall of Fame together" -- then he told her to click on "Beasts" and she did so and then he said "Squinchilla is my… Continue

Oh wow...You have no idea how nervous I am to be putting this out there. Why? I'M UNBELIEVABLY SHY. My confidence levels were never high as a kid, and when I entered my teens with all those hormones and expectations, they dropped dramatically. But you guys, the Mythical Beasts, are cool with that. You are all like me, or have had experiences like me. You know what it's like.I think that kinda helps, being able to talk and have people sympathize (OMGSOCHEESY). Doesn't happen often in school,…

Blog No.2

Well, if anyone found my first blog to be either entaining or just agreed with what I had to say, then you may have wanted to know what I had to say next. Well to be honest, what's bugging me right now is a real biggy, so if you think you can handle it, hold on to your hats, cos I feel this one is going to be a monster.

Today I heard that all to familiar phrase that really makes you feel like the worlds biggest idiot, and those words being "Don't like you in that way, only as a… Continue

Daily Devo #8

1:8 But with an overflowing flood

He will make a complete end of the adversaries,

and will pursue His enemies

into darkness.

"Overflowing flood" reminded me of the flood in Genesis. A global flood destroyed all mankind and animal life besides what was on Noah's ark. Also, Nahum 2:6-8 give evidence that Nineveh was to be destroyed…

Daily Devo #7

1:7 The LORD is good,

a stronghold in the day of trouble;

He knows those who take refuge in Him.

It's interesting to note that immediately after mentioning YHWH's wrath and anger, Nahum tells us YHWH is good. Wouldn't it seem that an angry wrathful God would be bad?

The question is often asked, "How can there be a good God if…

Daily Devo #6

1:6 Who can stand before His indignation?

Who can endure the heat of His anger?

His wrath is poured out like fire,

and the rocks are broken into pieces by Him.

YHWH's wrath and anger are so great that not a soul can endure them. Christ did!

Fire is often used as a way of YHWH's presence manifesting...burning bush, pillar…

My First YouTube Skit

I've been posting vlog videos since this Summer because it seemed like a fun thing to do and would give our family the opportunity to see our kids when we don't live near them.

When I sat down in front of my camera to record my first vlog, I had the jitters. I was so nervous and had a difficult time getting any words out. After editing the vlog, I uploaded it and anxiously waited for my first view. I was so nervous as to what people would say or if anyone would even watch…

My first blog... (ever)

Well, I've never done a blog before, so I'll probably just do this wrong, but I think (correct me if this is wrong) that I can rant and talk about what's annoying at this present time.

And to be quite honest, what annoys me the most right now is 21st century minimalist composers, and more just the music itself. To begin with, it's not music, it's just noise. All care for harmony and a melody that was bearable to listen to have been forgotten.

Secondly, it really annoys me that… Continue

Losing a Toy

I remember when I was a kid and my favourite doll went missing. I dug through the box and searched as thoroughly as I could. My sister had found hers. It was blond like her and there was no way we could get our mixed up as my doll was a brunette. We had to leave to go on a trip and I wanted to bring my doll with me. Sadly, I never found her in time - in fact, I never found her at all. I felt terrible. She was my favourite toy and I mourned the loss of it every time I say my sister play with her… Continue

Daily Devo #5

1:5 The mountains quake before Him;

the hills melt;

the earth heaves before Him,

the world and all who dwell in it.

An overwhelming tone of the chapter so far has been YHWH's sovereignty and power over what He created. All creation from the trees to the storms is in submission to its Creator. How humbling…

Erm.. I like turtles.

Hey you.

Yeah you.

I must admit I'm not much of a blogger.

But since you're here, read.

I just realized the day I decided to do Supernote was the day after the deadline. Bleh. Oh well.

I like writing. I'm writing something now, but it is not incredibly good. Maybe I'll write a new one. Any requests on the genre? I am not a picky beast.

Welcome to the Kommunity. :)

I must admit I'm not much of a blogger.

But since you're here, read.

My whipped ice dairy drink brings the attention of males to my place of residence and/or employment, and it far surpasses that of yours. Absolutely, it surpasses yours. I can convey you to this recipe, but I have to demand compensation.

If you get this, I love you.

I didn't make that up by the way. I believe it was a group on facebook, but I'm not… Continue

Daily Devo #4

1:4 "He rebukes the sea and makes it dry;

He dries up all the rivers;

Bashan and Carmel wither,

the bloom of Lebanon withers.

Immediately after reading the first statement of this verse, my mind went to Mark 4:39. The disciples woke Jesus during a storm while they were in a boat. Jesus woke…
