oh man!!! DID YOU KNOW?? (I didn't!)
Caffeine is on the International Olympic Committee list of prohibited substances. Athletes who test positive for more than 12 micrograms of caffeine per milliliter of urine may be banned from the Olympic Games. This level may be reached after drinking about 5 cups of coffee. Ouch!
and here's a real punny fact!:
Turkish bridegrooms were once required to make a promise during their wedding ceremonies to always provide their new wives with coffee. If they failed to do so, it was grounds for divorce!
I believe it was Kaldi, the Ethiopian goatherder who first discovered the power of the coffee bean. He noticed how frisky his goats became after munching on the berriers from a certain tree. He tried them himself and to this day, Ethiopians rarely medals in the Olympics.
celebrated getting out of high school with a Starbucks extra coffee caramel frappuccino with the five shot option. also finally got my Starbucks card from the teacher, but when I tryed to add the card to my account it said the card has all ready been registered on another account. so now I'm going to have to see whats going on with that.
I had a very nice mocha from a little place in Glasgow called Stereo, it was reasonably priced and delicious. My girlfriend ordered the cinnamon latte, which was also a delight. Anyone been there?
We celebrated part of my wife's birthday Tuesday night at Caribou Coffee in Cary (on Maynard Road--the one at Preston was already closed ), because she got a free coffee coupon for her birthday on line, and I already had a buy one get one free coupon. Nice place, and very friendly staff. Got the trivia question with a little hint. Hippos are a major threat to river travelers in some parts of Africa. (They are not at all like Gloria in Madagascar)
I drink waaaaaay too much coffee. I can down a full pot of coffee in a day without getting wired. They say that building up a tolerance is a sign of addiction... so it's not looking good for me.
I drink a lot of coffee. Normally, the word "lot" is just an expression. But I'm being litteral. You can go, rent a lot, fill it with coffe grounds and I'll drink it.
Coffee is a necessity! My favorite comes from a hole-in-the-wall doughnut shop close to my home. Their blend is lighter than Starbucks, so their coffee ends up having a cleaner and fresher taste, especially when it is consumed without cream and sugar.
Coffee is essential to my existence. I tried to go without it once and I lasted a week. The caffeine headaches were horrible. On a scale of pain that you would see in a hospital it was about a 5 or 6.
I am a zombie without my AM coffee. And I like strong coffee including Columibian coffee as long as I can put as much cream and sugar as I like. I know, bad habit, but oh so fulfilling!
Starbucks is great, but it started to make me feel sick. I found a little coffee shop called Carefree Coffee Roastery that is run by this super nice and laid back German guy. It's a cute place, unique for AZ. It's not expensive. He does cream designs and the COFFEE TASTES AMAZING.
