For some reason, I don't think R&L need any advertising in the Buies Creek / Lillington area. Just a hunch.

Still, just recognizing this as a (likely) self-funded advertising campaign with a billboard per state, it's nice to just step back and appreciate how far the guys have come from that Buies Creek / Lillington area.

Well, it turns out that the billboard in Needles (https://twitter.com/jakkle085/status/1038282683132997632) is in CALIFORNIA...which would make it the second billboard to be identified in the state of California, the other one being Weedpatch. This seems out of line with the Tubefilter article that stated there'd be one in every state.

The interesting thing about Needles is that it's directly next to the border with Arizona, i.e. the Colorado River. It's still technically on the California side of the river, though. And if it were meant to represent Arizona, it would be strange to have it nearly directly on a border line rather than deeper within the state. Can't figure this one out!

Regarding the billboard in Mobridge, SD -- according to the person who found it, although the board says Mobridge, it's actually physically located in Bowdle, SD. Bowdle is about 40 miles east of Mobridge and is another small town.

@Jonny - Yeah, that'll definitely make it harder to find. But Vermont has a similar billboard ban and the GMM ad was spotted on a bus instead...Hawaii and Alaska also have restrictions and the ad was on the side of a building and inside an airport, respectively. So it has to be somewhere in Maine!

Thanks for the link updates. I’ Been trying to list the first report posted on any social media to give credit to the finder, even if they didn’t know what they were looking at. The images I have saved in the #MythicalUSA photo album here on the Kommunity are those “first notices” even if the Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr link no longer works. Maine does not allow billboards, so it's probably on a bus like in VT. 

The curious case of the bus ads

I found a photo of the Maine #MythicalUSA ad, but it only raises more questions. The bus was seen in Portland, ME but features the same "Wilder" design that was seen in Vermont. It's doubtful they're somehow the same bus; besides the two cities being about 2.5 hours away from each other, the "metro" label on the ME bus wasn't on the VT bus. So what's up with that?

In any case, I guess that means we've found all the ads now....right??

Yes, still a mystery. I was able to locate pics of the Portland, ME city bus line, definitely named Metro, and it matches exactly the color scheme and "Clean Natural Gas" scheme.  My only guess is that someone at either MYTHICAL INC. or the advertising company sent the wrong image or instruction to the Portland authority.

Meanwhile, searching for "THE CURRENT" bus lines that serve Windsor County (VT) where the community of Wilder* is located I couldn't find that exact paint scheme, but there are some similar colors. It could possibly just be an older bus still in the fleet.

On second review, I'm making an "executive decision" and calling FAKE NEWS on the Portland, ME sighting - - - obviously a photoshop job, as the advert would not be placed over the seam of that equipment access door below the Metro blue line unless there were a cut seam.
