Philip (Groffgryphon) Austin's Page

I am a true native NC boy, and still live in the same general vicinity of my birth, family and church in Apex, NC. The furthest from home I've actually lived was about 24 miles away in Durham. I've been a nurse for almost 25 years, while my wife works in X-ray. We have 2 kids in their 20's, so we have help with the internet!
I really enjoy Rhett and Link's humor and creativity, which has challenged and inspired me to do a bit more. Like the Spannerman video. I used to teach 5th grade Sunday School, and would often write lyrics to established tunes about the Bible story. I also used to do this with popular tunes when I was part of a Christian coffeehouse and touring band back in the late 70's-early 80's. If I get brave enough, I may try and do another video of a song I wrote about the life of a very famous female missionary, Lottie Moon (a name most of you Southern Baptists should recognize), done to the tune of Steve Martin's King Tut.
