Funniest yet and OMG love the grad song.

First off, I have to say that I'm so happy that the Mythical Dancing KBE made into this episode. I'm so proud of all the beasts that got up there and danced like nobody was watching (although this episode of TMS will likely have in excess of 100,000 views, so everyone is going to see you shake your moneymaker now!)

I loved, loved, LOVED the colour taste test game in this episode. It had me fully in giggles. I'm SO happy that they re-released the Graduation Song as an "actual music video" now. I'm gonna go snag the song off of iTunes ASAP!

Oh, and yes, Tim and Eric are the masters of awkwardness... I'm still not sure how I feel about their brand of comedy (although I thought all their Red Lobster promos during the YouTube Big Comedy Pre-Show/Show were really awkwardly funny).

yes so many GIFs so lil time.  Someone PLEASE do one of the missed high 5.  I was on the floooooor.

And voodoo dirt?   gold.

Ask and ye shall receive! :)

Hahahaha, that's awesome!

"Have we ever inadvertently slapped each other in the face?"

I was very busy yesterday, so just getting to finally watch Ep.5 about 16 hours after release.

Makes me feel very non-mythical.

re: the "square graduation hat" ---> it's commonly called a "mortar board" because of it's resemblence to the hawk used by bricklayers to hold mortar.  You can learn more about it's origin HERE.

While on WIKI, it also informed me about the various colors of tassels given to university graduates and faculty and how it relates to the degree earned or a certain curriculum . . . 31 years after receiving my diploma in commercial banking / finance I can fully understand why the color "DRAB" was chosen for business degrees.

I'm not sure that these colours are universally used (maybe they are "Ameri-centric"?). I have an honours bachelor of arts and we did use white (although it was mangy white fur). I also have an honours bachelor of education but ours were chartreuse/lime green instead of the light blue listed here.

Also, my university used hooded gowns with a coloured sash instead of mortar boards (I was so bummed, I was looking forward to throwing my hat in the air!) A lot of universities/colleges are doing away with the mortar board hats because so many are damaged and need to be replaced from tossing them in the air. It's cool though because every time you get a new degree you have another sash on your gown at graduation. Some of the professors looked like they got bombed with streamers of all different colours!

I've attached a photo from convocation so you can see my ugly mangy white fur sash and chartreuse/lime green hood.

Yes, those are U.S. standards as established by the American Council on Education (ACE) - - - code states that "The tassel should be black or the color appropriate to the subject," and only makes an exception for the gold tassel. The gold metallic tassel is reserved for those entitled to wear the doctoral gown, as is the use of velvet for headwear. Only one tassel is worn at a time.

I much prefer the TAM, but don't think I'll return to school for another 4-6 years to get one.

It reminds me of Christopher Columbus . . .

Yeah, in the U.S. you only get a pretty colored hood if you have get a Masters or PhD, and then the color is based on your university colors and not your degree (the design of the Masters & PhD gowns are a little different to distinguish them...PhD ones are the same as the full regalia that profs wear).

CICADAS!

I really liked this episode - Graduation song, Color taste-test, and Craigslist Crank calls all in one episode yayyyyy. I really like the Craigslist Crank Calls - I watched some of their old hour-long kasts on ustream last year when I was bored and they did some back then that I really enjoyed, so I am excited that they've brought them back for the Mythical Show!
