¿iKommunity Music Ensemble?!
Hey y'all,
I've had an idea to maybe get things moving in this group.
We've got some brass, woodwind, string/piano and percussion players on here and I was thinking, provided I can get enough people on board, of starting some sort of 'kommunity orchestra' (or whatever kind of music ensemble we can get, though I'm almost fully leaning towards instrumental). We could record our parts separately, maybe just via webcam, and then someone could amalgamate them (audio or video, depending what we end up with). Our first piece would prolly be one of Rhett and Link's (or a medley) that I could arrange for whatever ensemble we end up with.
If you have any other ideas feel free to make a suggestion.
If you wanna join, post some form of comfirmation and what instrument(s) ya feel comfortable enough on to do so with.

Also, don't not sign up because someone else already has for the instrument you wanted to, multiple parts can be given out for the same
instrument and people who signed up for more than one might not always
be playing all of them per song. Plus, I'd be just fine with, say, 50 piano players or 20 bassoonists :).
I'll periodically edit this to show who's signed up.

Thanks everyone for joining and for your patience. I'm considering posting this as an official KBE next week. After that, I'd wait at most 2 weeks for people to join, and then get down to business. Once we get going, I'm going to make a seperate group for us, but for now, we can hang here. I'm going to attempt to friend y'all and send out a PM with more details as I think we should keep some stuff a surprise for the rest of the Kommunity :).
As a side note, while this isn't the most serious ensemble in the world, I would like if you are going to sign up that you intend on participating (some people haven't even been back on the komm since signing up quite a bit ago, and if you are one of these once-a-month-or-less login-ers, friend me and let me know a way to contact you with details/eventual parts; otherwise I'll have to take you off the list :\). Thanks :)

That sounds awesome! If it ends up having anything vocal, I can sing and/or rap. If you stick with the instrumental idea, I can play the tenor saxophone...as long as we wait until the fall. I play sax in the marching band, but the sax belongs to the university, so I won't be getting it until band camp in August.

I can play the guitar, though not very well

and i might be able to do some drums, though that may be a bit more difficult as I don't always have access to a set -

Coolio. Hopefully if this idea takes off we'll be doing stuff come fall whether it be our first song or more, dependin' on people's schedule's and practice and all. I can be swayed on the vocals, and if so, what range can I mark you down for? (bass/baritone/tenor)?
Also, awesomesauce on being in marching band :D.

Glad you like it :D. I'm assuming alto sax? Now watch because I assumed its gonna be something crazy like a contrabass sax (crazy, or crazy awesome?). And Acoustic or electric guit?

Oh, if necessary, I can sing. While I'm not very good I have somewhat of a lower range... so yeah, if you need me I can try really hard to stay on pitch.
