Is there someone here who can come to this? If you can, please ask Rhett & Link where was Christy/Jessie's cameo in Buddy System. I'm dying to know haha

I wish I had seen this sooner! I definitely would've gone.

I did in fact make it to this event!! It was a real blast! Since the event page stated it would only be half an hour and made no mention of a meet and greet, I went in knowing that there would not be one and the chance that I would actually get to meet either of the fellas would be practically zero. A few folks in the very front row got to exchange a few words, and one gal got a picture because her father was able to ask for one, but basically the second the livestream was over, Rhett and Link were whisked away by a woman with a clipboard to do further publicity images backstage. It was a very small event--I've definitley had gen ed college classes with more people than were in the audience for this...probably only around 30, tops. It was so nice to see them discussing their craft, though, which is why I went! They are effortlessly amiable and funny, and also very intuitive and professional. Interesting points included the fact that while they'd hoped initially to have a little bit more improv in the series but found it not just easier but more natural to go by the script since they'd already honed it to perfection, and that the director of the series had previously directed Kids in the Hall, an outstanding Canadian sketch comedy show that I was personally already a fan of.

A thing of note--I think since I have been a fan for so long and am just sort of...used to them, at this point, as a part of my "normal" I was actually...not at all surprised by how tall they are, or how they're real people, or anything. The one thing I found myself surprised by was how just...you know how sometimes in interviews they take on a sort of trolling, joking tone and don't give a straight answer about anything? Since they were actually talking about something of which they are immensely proud, they were giving very thoughtful answers to the questions the moderator/interviewer/host posed. This was NOTHING like a vidcon event, where the room is full of hundreds of people waiting in line or watching them film a GMM in person or anything like that. This was more like a masterclass, and as someone who has sat through quite a few of those in opera school, it was genuinely spectacular to be there for one given by my  actor/writer/director/comedian/musician/advertising idols.

Also the chairs were really nice and SEVERAL people have told me that they saw me on the livestream!

Amazing that you were able to attend!! Wow, 30 people is indeed small for something like that. I wondered about that since Rhett and Link didn't personally advertise the event as something that MBs could attend. Thanks for your perspective on the event. I had to miss the livestream, but hopefully I can still watch it now that I have free time again.

Verrrry Interesting!!!

I never noticed at the time, but now that you mention it the Buddy System did have a flow and timing similar to Kids In The Hall sketches.

Here 'tis the "edited" version of the interview . . .

shot live from New York, so lots of sirens heard at 11:00-11:40
