Not from there, but I lived in Beaumont for a little while. Loved it there! well, maybe not Beaumont, but I did like the rest of Texas.

I was born and Raised in Beaumont, Texas. I love Texas, but I hate Beaumont and the surrounding regions.

Before we met and married, my husband lived in Austin,Texas for awhile. We recently went to Austin again this past April. We both love the state and plan to move back there within a couple of years.

I'm from Texas! And I LOVE it! My dad always says that Texas is ' Too small to be a country, too big to be an insane asylum!' Here in Austin this is our 54th day of temps. over 100 degrees!!

Been living in Houston for 21 years, and still not used to the HEAT from July through September.... other than that, I love it!....my hubby likes to ride his motorcycle in the hill country with all the twisting roads and beautiful terrain.

This makes my third posting on the GART Discussions
- - Born & raised in LA (that's why I started the LA~Sportsman's Paradise thread)
- - 10 years in GA (1996-2006)
- - and now 3 years in TX (since Jun-06)
I'm trying to block the 3-yr exile to Pascagoula, MS from memory. Some places are a good place to be, some are a good place to be from. I sure don't miss the smell wafting in from the "pogie plant" on a cool, crisp Autumn morning! -
