Elfish Rhett and Link
I had a disposable epiphany when i drew myself as an elf, and i couldn't wait to finish so i could do this magnificent piece. I thought , "What if Rhett and Link were elves too? i mean, we've seen link's ears, and apparently, they're a little embarrassing so he hides them. i tend to make the ears a little longer, kinda like in Sarah Ellerton's "Inverloch" (One of two greatest comics ever. the second being her newest webcomic "The Phoenix Requiem". seriously check her out.)
I will give all my elves (unless they are in the style i will call "ye olde elfish style" which is the style you normally think of for elves) a style thats kind of modern, but at the same time "elfy" be it with hair, colour, or accessories.
the goal for Rhett was an elf who loves to have fun and is a good guy all around.
the goal for Link was the modern dark elf. oversized belt, darker colours, and the hair cut is a bit longer than normal. oh by the way link, i like your boots.
i like the way Rhett's open palm and Link's slouchy posture and his hand came out. i also gave Rhett an elfy beard. and i made sure to give link a noticeable adam's apple

okay, so i've got him sketched out, just the hair and body position, the hair is kinda like line in the picture above, but a little more spiky. grey and black? sounds cool. i'll get started on the outfit, and then when it's all coloured, it shall be done. ^^

Alex has spiky semi-long hair. He's skinny, not a buff guy, tho he's a little cut. He's a university student. He mostly wears grey tank tops and black skinnies to be around in his room. Because him and friends live in the university, is campus or something like that. I also have Joe, he's the main character of my other story. He's also a university student. Im planning to unite both stories. Like, Joe changes university and meets Alex, would be kinda cool! :) But I do have Joe drawn ^__^

mine is many pages as well. it will hopefully eventually be a novel.
if you would tell me more about Alex E.g. time period of story, length of hair, accessories, weapons, anything you think would be cool, i could try to draw him. I'll start out a sketch of the build of a tewenty two year old guy. and work out the pose and i can add in all the details later.

I would tell you my story, but, It's pages and pages long. I think it would be rather hard to draw my main character. But just so you can imagine him, His a tall, white, blue eyed guy with black hair, n' 22 years.
And your story sounds, weirdly intresting. lol. I would like read it.

so many mythical connections! ^^ yay! I've been trying to get my bf to become a mythical beast, because, i kid you not, i am most likely their biggest fan (i can tell you what the title and lyrics are of a video within the first ten seconds of audio only) all he tells me is that my obsession is stalkerish, but that i'm not officially a stalker until there is a restraining order. haha.
I think your name is beautiful (wait, you are a girl right? cause if you weren't that would change everything.... haha jk)
ooh ooh! i want to hear your story, and maybe I'll share mine with you too the main character isn't named Deyaneira but if you tell me how to pronounce it, i will gladly add a character. I'm always looking for names. oh, and even though i'm a girl, i want to see a drawing of Alex. that would be so cool (and not to mention make my day.) i could attempt a drawing of my characters, but my style doesn't quite fit the evil that the main (well sort of, it technically follows his younger (deceased) sister through the messed up life he caused and how he slips further into insanity following her assassination (at his hands) is capable of. wow. that was a long sentence...

Awesome! I feel ya'. My bf also talks to me when I'm drawing, I make lots of pauses to make sure not to ruin it. lol. Btw, u're the first person to complemint my name ever, lol! Not to mention, My main story character is called Alex, I haven't drawn him cuz I'm still writing the story.
I think we have a mythical connection, lol. X

thanks, it took a year of art class to figure our a cool way to sign things, then when i became good friends with a boy named Adam (i call him Nakamura, or Dr. Nakamura) he is a much better artist than me, but his signature was kinda like this, as he always put the year. then i started drawing with him once, and he was like, "we have such similar signatures" what he doesn't know is he inspired mine.

it took about an hour and a half to do the initial sketch,v then another maybe 20 minutes to do the inking. no, i do not have an extremely steady hand. then another hour or so for colouring. it only took so long long because i can't focus with my boyfriend talking to me at the same time. ;)
oh, and as a side note, i think your name is awesome! so original!

Haha thanks. I made the eye too small on accident, so i tired to compensate with the rest of the face (I always draw the eye first.)
