Foreigner is super catchy but no substance, however Yaz (Yazoo), or more specifically Upstairs at Eric's is on my mom's first mixtape.

Journey anyone?

New Wave is probably my favorite 80's genre. TFF, Asia, Culture Club... I like it all!!

Sorry for bugging anyone but I was an idiot not to mention ABC, Shakin' Stevens, Phil Collins, Earth, Wind & Fire and Robert Cray. I'm sure I've forgotten more that I like listening to...

I am an avid 80's fan. Most people usually say that I'm too young though. From the 80's, I like Journery, Queen, the Bangles, Michael Jackson Madonna (as long as she wasn't being too disgusting), Van Halen, Def Leppard, Poison, Cyndi Lauper, Naked Eyes, New Order, Wham!, Soft Cell, David Bowie, Aerosmith, Run DMC, AC/DC, Prince, one hit wonders (such as (in my opinion) the Buggles, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Nik Kershaw, Baltimora, Cutting Crew and a few more) , Hall & Oates, Richard Marx, the Human League, Europe, Kenny Loggins, Janet Jackson, Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock, Whitesnake, Rick Springfield, Bruce Springsteen, INXS, the Clash, John Mellencamp, Billy Idol, the Police, Bon Jovi, Fiction Factory, the Commodores, Guns 'n' Roses, Billy Joel, Sade, Electric Light Orchestra, Boy Meets Girl and a few others. I also like music from the 70's, 60's and some songs from the 50's (mainly just Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash for the 50's) and a few songs from the 90's. My favourite singer of the 80's (and one of my favourite singers of all time) is Lionel Richie (I was really jovial when I found out that Rhett and Link enjoyed his music as well). I am aware that many of these bands and singers had earlier work and I do indeed like their earlier work. Every song in my generation is horrible because all anyone does is autotune, scream or use a computer. They have almost no meaning, are all disgusting (even more disgusting than Madonna!) and they always have something about posteriors in them. Music used to mean something and people actually took the time to write songs and sing songs and all of the "adult" singers of the 80's, 70's and 60's (like Marvin Gaye and Barry White) were at least being a little subtle (but still awesome) and didn't just outright swear. In my opinion, the only true artists of today are Rhett and Link - their voices are beautiful and mellifluous and their songs are humorous (which was their purpose) and when they use autotune (they haven't yet), scream or use a computer to make music, it is mythically special. I envy everyone that grew up in the 80's. Sorry for my incessant ranting.

glee was alright in the beginning but then just got old really quick, plus they destroyed a lot of songs but quinn and sam's version of "(i had) the time of my life was actually pretty good in my opinion.
