So I have a funny story for you. Well, at least I hope you think its funny: I looked on Google maps today to see how far away Sherman Oaks was from my house. (I sent you guys some mail and I like guessing how long it will take to get there.) So I look at the map and it says 500 miles. And I was like oh okay. and then completely disregarded the map (because im bad at judging distances and don't yet comprehend the size of our country or the length of a mile) and go by how long it took you guys to drive out there, when you did the road trip, to formulate my guess. Well, later on I was thinking to myself, "Sherman Oaks is exactly 500 miles from my house, that's noteworthy! In fact, there's a song about that!" so I was all excited and wanted to share with you that if I were not a girl and afraid of being sexually violated or kidnapped I could walk the 500 miles to be the person who walked 1000 kilometers to fall down at your..region/city..? . Yeah.. not EXACTLY like the song, but close enough. So, I was trying to think of a good way of saying it in 140 characters (since i planned to tweet it) and came up with "You know that song by the Proclaimers? I found out today that I live exactly 500 miles away from Sherman Oaks! Maybe plausible.." Well, just to be sure I didn't look like an idiot I double checked the map and learned that the true distance from my house in Florida to Sherman Oaks is actually 2,559 miles and that the 500 I originally saw was the distance relative to size marker( -------------------- =500miles thingy) well, then i felt stupid and thought I'd share my "map fail" story with you in hopes that it might bring a smile to your face.. was the book long comment successful?
