This bronze "wreath" on my front door is made with the lock face plates that cover the guts of a lock on the edge of the door.

I think so. We all worked for another company that came under new ownership. They started treating everybody like they were easily replaceable. The national regional managers started leaving, then the branch managers started leaving. My boss also left and bought into another company. Then lower level employees started leaving. My boss ended up hiring all the best of his former employees and now we are all back together again and kicking ass.
Our old company went belly up and is out of business now. Those new owners with all their money and MBA degrees thought they knew better than us how to operate this type of business and I guess we taught them a very hard lesson.

That's so awesome! Does your boss know how great you are?

The commercial door and hardware supply business is not something that people aspire to. It starts out innocent enough and then you get trapped into it. There's no school to learn all the details and there's so many fire and life safety building codes, that you just pick it up over time. Then one day, you realize 15 , 20, or more years have gone by and there's not many people that are as good as you are at what you do and you're married to it. So, having fun with the products makes it a little more exciting to go to work every day.

Now THAT is really cool!!! I'll never look at door hardware the same again, Bob!
