Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

Georgia has it all: Big city, small towns, mountains, beaches, and a rich heritage.

I was born and raised in South Georgia, but moved to North GA for college 5 years ago. What part of the state are you from? ATL (or the surrounding cities), the North GA Mountains, the coast, a South GA farm, or somewhere in between?

Do you love peaches? Are you a Dawg fan? What's your favorite place to visit? Do you love pecan pie? What's your favorite band/artist/musician to come out of Georgia?

Oh, and if you're not from Georgia but have visited, feel free to chime in on the discussion, too!

Most of my family on my dad's side lives in Columbus, GA. I have many fond memories of summers there.
Woot-woot for Georgia!!! :D
I once spent two lovely weeks in Acworth, GA. It was beautiful, although I was not a fan of the "swait tay". Not trying to be disrespectful, it's just how "sweet tea" sounded (at first) to a 14 year-old yankee. However, by the second day of our trip, everyone in our group somehow adopted the accent...it was a good time!
I like my sweet tea to be sweet enough to use it as syrup.

Just kidding.

But really, we're talking 2 cups of sugar per gallon of tea.
Lived in Dacula/Hog Mountain area 9 years and then Bethlehem for 1 year - - both in Gwinnett County just northeast of Atlanta.

Really tough being an LSU grad (GEAUX TIGERS!) and living only 20 miles away from UGA campus in Athens, but I survived.
Right on, two cups o' sugar makes the biscuits and gravy go down!

Amen! SOOPER SWEET is the only way to go, and it must also be STRONG brewed. If you can read a newspaper through a full glass, that's just dirty water!

I'm from Decatur, GA. I've lived there for three years. Before that I lived in Colorado for eight years, but lived in Atlanta before that, so I am definitely a Georgian.

Nothing beats sweet tea with BBQ. If anyone is from Atlanta and is familiar with the Little Five/Candler Park area, GO TO FOX BROTHERS BBQ! Best BBQ in the city.

I better damn well be a Dawg fan! I'm a UGA student! Athens is such a great college town. Plus, R.E.M. is from Athens, so there's my answer to that question.

I love living in Georgia. My favorite thing is just living in Atlanta. I love big cities and Atlanta is so great.
I'm from Waycross and I never get bored!
Go Gators!!
Also, Ilove sweet tea other places they don't even have sweet tea.
Well I'm not originally from here, but I do reside in Statesboro, GA! For those who don't know where that is, if you know Georgia Southern University, then that is where Statesboro is!! I have been living here for about 15 years now, which is majority of my life! I can say I do love the south and enjoy it! I do too love sweet tea, mine has to be very cold and very sweet! :D

I can say that I do love peaches! Not a big sports fan, but I do watch it time to time! My favorite places I like to visit are Augusta & Savannah! I do love me some pecan pie!! Not sure about any favorite bands or artist from GA! I can say I have been to almost all the major cities in Georgia and enjoyed my time there!
Well I've lived in a couple different areas of GA and other states. I Moved to ATL area from Western Mass then moved to Columbus, GA for school for 2 yrs then Macon, GA for 2 yrs then to Huntsville, AL for a year now I'm back in the Atl area... But about to move again...

I mix my tea half sweet half unsweet with lots of ice.
I'm from Decatur. I'm not a very good Georgian though....I don't like coke or sweet tea or grits. Especially grits. Blame it on the fact that my mom was from the north. I'm a pepsi, hot tea with sugar and milk and oatmeal kind of girl. But I still love Decatur! And peaches are one of my favorite fruits. I'm not a conventional sports fan. I LOVE rollerderby.
