Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

So, my fellow Mythical Beasts, we have all begun the process of selecting our personal beastly identities, and many of us have lent our artistic expertise to the cause of depicting the ever elusive RandLer.

My question to you all, though, is what does your mythical beast look like? We have represented among us some traditional beasts of yore (such as leprechauns, gremlins, and... phoenixes) as well as many unique creations!

Be as creative as you wish! Backstories are a plus! If you don't feel confident drawing one for yourself, describe it for us here, and maybe someone will sketch it for you! If you use a photo from somewhere on the internet, please give credit to the original source.

Enjoy!

Here's my contribution!

Teresa Ulrich and I, after discovering over the Kommunity how much we had in common and creating our own collab video, decided to be Twin Phoenixes (fraternal, mind you). She is the one to the left, with the curlier "hair" and greenish eyes. I am the one to the right. We're holding a ribbon-like musical staff because we are both musicians, and specifically music teachers. :)

The Land Shark is considered the cleverest of all sharks. Unlike the great white shark, which tends to inhabit the waters and harbors of recreational beach areas, the Land Shark may strike at any place, anytime on land. It is capable of disguising its voice and tricking it's prey into opening their door by pretending to be the plumber, or delivering a candy-gram or flowers.
Okay, couldn't help it. I made a time lapse video! Enjoy!:

I've moved this thread over to the KBE category. Nice work, everyone! I need a great artist to design The E-Ministrator! If you'd like to take a shot at it, send me a message to my inbox and I'll give you the description.
Here's my very own mythical beast! Just drew the magnificent thing this mornin'. I call it the Purple Panda-Saur!

My representative beast is the noble jackalope, majestic and misunderstood ;)

Here's my first rendering:
Jackalope

A wacky, crazy, random, yet totally awesome creature. Much like Rhett and Link, and us Mythical Beasties
Well, I couldn't resist drawing up my Ghost Chicken... stop on by my profile to hear the song that inspired the beast!

I've finally decide that I am the Gaelic ThistleFish. The Thistelfish is a Scottish plaid fish, resembling a salmon, but with sharp Velcro-like barbs and varying plaid designs. Wise and knowledgeable, the thistlefish is a visionary. They are also tasty with tartar sauce which brings out the Tartan flavor.

When caught, the immature thistlefish can be hung from any nappy fabric as a trophy.

The mature thistlefish loses the barbs and replaces them with long reed-like protrusions. They are often mistaken for musical instruments, but this is far from the truth. I've included a picture of a man trying to play a thistlefish. Note the puffed out cheeks, marking his frustration before realizing his mistake.

[Posted by Claire (Flying Penguin)]
I didn't physically find it. I drew it. (It took longer than expected as I worked with nubs of pencil crayon, but) Here it is:

I call it RandLe, the flying penguin. Now you may say 'a penguin is not mythical.' But I didn't hear you say a flying penguin is not mythical. And watch out it's got talons that can take on any fish or mouse that says otherwise...
