1. Carbonated Water - - tastes neutral (unless you live in Utah, in which case it tastes salty)
2. high fructose corn syrup - - tastes sweet
3. caramel color - - tastes brown
4. phosphoric acid - - tastes like a used AAA batery (50% charge left)
5. artificial flavoring - - tastes fake
6. natural flavoring - - oddly enough, also tastes fake

8. caffeine - - tastes HYPER
My favorite of the flavor mix is SODIUM BENZOATE (NaC6H5CO2), a preservative produced by reacting sodium hydroxide with benzoic acid that is used most prevalently in acidic foods such as salad dressings, carbonated drinks, jams, fruit juices, pickles and condiments. It is also used in fireworks as a fuel in whistle mix, a powder which emits a whistling noise when compressed into a tube and ignited. That's what gives Dr. Pepper the special ZING!
