Recipe: A Rhett and Link Poem

This is my first post on the Kommunity and I'm not even sure if people will read it. I'm not good at painting or drawing but I love to write, so I created this poem to share with you all. Hope you like it!

Recipe

I recently found in the back of a cupboard

A recipe I’d like to share, if I may,

It was not for a soup or dessert, I discovered

But for mythical comedy on Youtube each day.

Now following these steps is not easy to do

This recipe is much harder than you’d think,

Main ingredients are simple though, there are just two:

One portion of Rhett and another of Link.

Once you have your ingredients, please understand

That the method is complex and takes several years,

On the way life might not turn out quite how you planned

But the end result’s worth all the blood, sweat and tears.

So with trust, love and honesty, courage and hope

You have all the tools that you mustn’t forget,

Prepare your work surface, wash your hands with soap

And take one scoop of Link and another of Rhett.

Mix in different flavours of colleagues and friends:

Some are fruity, some nutty, some sweet and some sour,

Whisk in adventures and memories and then

Sprinkle with hard work and bake for an hour.

While the mixture is cooking, prepare a side order

Of millions of followers to add to the feast,

Each coming together across the world’s borders

To celebrate life as a Mythical Beast.

Remove from the oven and while still piping hot

Season with laughter to spice up the meal,

Top with great music and what have you got?

A winning combination: McLaughlin and Neal.

As we watch them on Youtube I’m sure you’ll agree

That this duo has made our lives happy and blessed,

Rhett and Link; what a joyful and rare recipe
