If anyone is planning a trip to WDW and planning on staying in one of the original 2 (Polynesian, Contemporary) during this time please be advised that the Monorail from the Poly will NOT be stopping at the Contemporary and vice versa. For those of you at the Poly, you will need to catch the monorail to the Contemporary from the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC).
If residents of each resort wish to catch the Monorail to EPCOT you may still catch it at the TTC.

Another Starbucks coming ... This time to the Disney Studios.
I have mixed emotions about this, on one hand; getting a cup of coffee that didn't taste like "office" coffee has always been a little hard to find. I realize that a lot of people are not familiar with "office" coffee so I will sum it up with this "office coffee is free and in the building I work there is a coffee shop that sells cups of coffee for $4, more people would rather pay for their coffee than drink the office coffee."
On the other hand I absolutely hate, hate hate hate the high prices of Starbucks. The coffee really isn't as great as people think they are getting either.
See "A Lesson in Coffee" in the Just for Fun category for more information.
Anyway, the Starbucks is coming to The Trolley Car Cafe at the Disney Studios. Much with all of the things Disney is doing with their restaurants I really hope that the include a breakfast option here since eating breakfast at the Studios is nigh impossible. I took my kids and after searching and searching for something we landed on soft pretzels and fruit cups.

Changes coming to lunch at Be Our Guest Restaurant (WDW)
Even though Disney has tried this once already with the service at Captain Cooks at the Polynesian Village Resort. Aside from being able to make dining reservations (either through their dining line 1-407-WDW-DINE or the My Disney Experience mobile app) you can now pre-order your meal anywhere from 30 days to 5 minutes in advance. Fear not though, for those who do not know what they are going want to eat a month in advance (myself included in that bunch) there will be kiosks located inside the restaurant to order your food.

Peter Pan's Flight Interactive Queue
PPF has long been plagued with extremely long and slow moving lines. To combat the tedium and boredom of the often hour long ling Disney World has borrowed a page from the new Dumbo ride and implemented a new interactive queue. Throughout the queue you will wonder through John, Michael, and Wendy's bedroom and witness among other thing Tinkerbell causing trouble.
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOD BYE Richard Petty Experience!!
Since 1997 The Richard Petty experience has been a place where you can ride in a NASCAR with a professional driver to experience what it is like to be a in a race. Also since 1997 The Richard Petty Experience has been wrecking the calm and serene experience for the guests staying at The Polynesian Village as the roar from the engines could be heard throughout the resort. The Richard Petty Experience will be leaving Walt Disney World in June 2015.
With the opening of the new Fantasyland the Magic Kingdom has struggled with getting the needed attendance into the park as the parking lot will no longer hold enough cars and the busses and monorails being left to tow the line to get people to the park. So to keep up with demand WDW has decided to end the run of Richard Petty and use the land for "future transportation improvements."
hmmm . . . maybe they could reuse the equipment for that endeavor as well.
Disney Guest: Wow! This parking lot sure is over a mile away from the main entry gate.
NASCAR Shuttle Driver: Yes, Sir. I realize it would be quite a walk. Just buckle up your 5-point harness and I'll get you there in 16.744 seconds.
