I really would like to hear Lee Newton from Sourcefed. She is absolutely hilarious and she has an amazing story. The other guest I would like to here on Ear Biscuits is Elliott Morgan and Mike…Continue

Did you see the picture on Facebook yesterday?!?! It was of the Round Table of Dim Lighting and it was hashtagged EarBiscuits. :D

I had my hopes up for that, too, Hannah, but, sadly, we still seem to be stuck at the PewDiePie episode.

Rosanna Pansino, host of an internet cooking show, just appeared as a guest on GMM. Is it possible she also recorded an Ear Biscuit that day?

Lance, what insightful and kind words! Yes, Rhett and Link have a remarkable ability to show genuine interest in people, make them feel heard, and connect with their experiences. I appreciate that they are great at comedy, but that they are also not afraid to go deep and talk about serious things.

Rhett & Link are two of the best interviewers I have heard. I so enjoy listening to Ear Biscuits for that reason. Most podcasts with guests seem to have the guests commenting on their hosts activities, personalities, lives, etc... With Ear Biscuits, the guest really is the subject of the podcast. The reason why Rhett & Link are such good interviewers is they seem genuinely interested in whoever they have on. They have a skill in drawing out the real personality of their guest. Maybe talking about who they were before they were famous helps in this, but overall I think it is the genuine hospitality of the two interviewers.

For that reason, I would like to see guests on the show that are from a wider pool than just "Internetainers". Music, Film, Traditional Media, even off camera people with huge hearts and influence.

Thanks for this podcast, guys. It truly has been a treat for my ears!

Still no EB

Well, I went ahead and listened to the Pewdiepie episode today to see what all the fuss was about. A couple of things:

First, I was pleasantly surprised that the cursing wasn't much worse than some of the other guests (or maybe it was just less that I was expecting, given who it was), and there were no adult-only topics. And they do beep out the bad words.  Most of the conversation was about how Pewdie almost accidentally became the most popular Youtuber ever.  Other than all the beeped-out words, I didn't hear anything that seemed like it would cause them to think they shouldn't continue with EB.

Secondly, at the beginning of the episode, they clearly announce that the episode would be the last of "Season 1".  They suggested that they had squeezed Pewdiepie into the season as kind of an encore bonus; the episode just before it with Grace Helbig was the 1-year anniversary, so I guess one year=one season.  Probably the second Grace Helbig episode would have been the "season finale" but they decided to tack Pewdiepie on at the last minute.  At the end of the episode, they clearly said they have firm plans for a "Season 2", but that they didn't know when it would be starting up.

I've been following this discussion. Interesting. I thought the podcast would be back at some point. Previously I listened to all the ones with people I actually watch on YouTube; they tend to be pretty family friendly. But over the past few weeks, I've listened to some others, mostly to hear the stories R&L share while they interview. I do appreciate that they beep out the worst of the language, but there are some Ear Biscuits I am purposely skipping because of the "mature content." I am impressed by how R&L are able to make each person feel heard and understoood, even when they may have different experiences or convictions. Sometimes they also challenge their guests a bit too, prompting them to think about being role models as well as entertainers. Good stuff. Hoping the podcast returns at some point :)
