Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

I enjoy sewing, but I'm definitely a beginner. My favorite thing about it is that you can find something too big/small/ugly at a second hand store, use your imagination, and turn it into something that's attractive and fits! I have an awful time finding things that fit me right, and making/altering my own clothes has really helped me out in that department.
The first picture is a dress made from an XL t-shirt. I made it using a tutorial on Craftster.org. I'd be happy to find the link to it, if anyone is interested in making one themselves.
The second dress was made using a f.r.e.e.! pattern from The Selfish Seamstress (check out her blog if you haven't already). It's called the "Coffee Date" dress. Really easy to make...except for the zipper. I. Hate. Sewing. Zippers.
In the third picture is a peasant shirt I made for my daughter out of a thrifted, vintage pillowcase. She wore it when we met Rhett and Link in NC. :)
Here's another "crafty critter" of mine (hahah). I make these in the fall. This is an original pattern I came up and I'm pretty happy how they turn out. I've made about 30 or so of these for people. Word of mouth at a huge office building is the best advertisement there is!
Here's a dress I made a couple weeks ago from two thrifted tshirts using a free pattern from http://www.dana-made-it.com/ . It was easy enough I ended up making two more for my nieces.

Okay, I miss this! Surely you ladies have had a few projects going since July? Especially with Christmas coming up soon(ish)!
What?! That shoe box is mythical perfection! You, my friend, are one talented individual.
