What is a book?

ALthough I am not a parent, I am a lover of children's literature. In a world of techno gadgets (laptops, mp3s, twitter), it has finally come to this; this summer someone published a book for children explaining what a book is. The title: It's a Book. The author: Lane Smith.

A book does not have wi-fi, a a mouse or volume control. It does not blog, charge, scroll or have a password. It contains (preloaded)…

Brand spanking new Kast ReKaps posted!

I realize it has been awhile since I have busily been working on the ReKaps for the archives/reKaps. Thank you for reading and checking for my blogs!

After many many hours of watching the important moments, I realized that I can only cover the Kasts (meaning I had to exclude: youtube videos, flicker photos, etc). Last week, I finally finished combing through all the kasts from 2009 (and believe me with Rhett and Link's… Continue

Sneak Peak at CLaire's R&L ReKap Archive records

So, it's taken me 3 hours to archive 3 months of Rhett&LinKast, how long will it take me to-- Wait I have been at this for three straight hours!?! Wow I think that deserves a mental break. To anyone who is reading this blog post (thanks to the "Rhett versus Link" discussion feature), I wanted to give you a heads up on what I am have been trying to complete for the little while...

I have posted some of the work (and I do mean work) at the following locations:…

A Cake Run in Lolita fashions

Hi hi!

I realize it has been waaay too long since I have last written and even longer since I have posted a normal picture. I am a creature of habit and so I refuse to post a "regular picture." Instead, I will post something related to stuff done on the winter holidays.

I had some days off work and planned to go on a cake run with some friends. A cake run essentially involves trips walking and trying out various cake shops and patisseries one at a time. The goal is to try… Continue

Bent Objects Entry Brushing Bride

Here are some of the best photos from my second series for the November Bent KBE. It is (shall we say) a far departure from the Frustration series. Here is "The Brushing Bride" inspired and made with by the ornate brush and mirror set by my mum got as a wedding gift:

Bent Objects Entry Frustration

Here is my entry:

What starts as a simple family friendly game of cat and mouse...

quickly escalates to murder!

Blue has gone mad!

As Red crawls for help,...

we find that no one has won.

Inspired by my family game nights.

'Frustration'… Continue

Summer Job Hunt

I don't know about you, but it's still hard for me to find a job that I enjoy (or at least a job I won't drag my feet to go to). Yes, we can chalk it up to the economy. The large number of insecure baby boomers who won't retire. The lack of good jobs available. A lack of social connections (since most of us know that it is not what you know, it is who you know that will hire you.)

So armed with these facts and my brand new Honours Bachelor, I am still at zlitch, nada on the job… Continue

Without a hitch...with memories

Well as a Cephas76 says "CONGRATUSTINKINLATIONS" my was graduation today.(1) And to anyone who did watch the webcast, I'm sorry to say that I didn't fall or snatch at the diploma on stage (diplomas were handed off stage). So convocation went off without a hitch. I did make a feeble attempt to pretend to snatch at the ceremonial mace that is over 50 years old.(2) (Didnt get a reaction out of the audience though since my face and mind blanked). Now I'm a little tired, maybe it was the camera… Continue

Graduation... The end of an era?

On June 18 at 2:30 to 4 pm, I will have my graduation ceremony for my undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto. I thought that since many of you have endured my chat rants about my studies (particularly the accursed philosophy classes), I should let you in on the magic webkast moment(s) where I have a funny smile plastered on my face or when I nearly trip on the stage to get a sweaty balm handshake and snatch my diploma. So if you desperately need a live webcast fix on Thursday… Continue
