Rhett Nation & Link Nation Intro

The Big One has hit: a giant catastrophic earthquake that has separated California, the home of internetainers Rhett and Link, from the rest of the United States. At the same moment, nuclear weapons were discharged across the entire Earth. Because of California’s unsuspected shift, it managed to move out of the way of the missiles just in time. California is now the only place on Earth inhabited by human life, but it is also now an island.
Sources have said that once the residents of California realized what had happened, Rhett McLaughlin and his former best friend and business associate, Charles (Link) Neal, decided to take charge and create two separate nation states to help the struggling California population. No one is quite sure why these two didn’t decide to join forces, or what caused this separation of once very close individuals, but some vaguely overheard an argument between the two. It appears that the words “moocher” and “selfish” were thrown around a lot. Sources say that when they were done fighting, Neal ran off into the woods to begin his own nation state, and McLaughlin went in the other direction. It appears that while in the forest, Neal’s glasses cracked. Witnesses claim that, “Ever since [Neal’s] glasses broke, he just hasn’t been the same.” but we have no further information regarding the matter.

Link Nation and Rhett Nation are currently allowing anyone who is a willing Mythical Beast to join them, but they refuse to associate with people from the other side, so you can only pick one! People from a nation, it is fabled, will be able to “choose what happens next”. Clearly that idea is utterly ridiculous because no one can predict the future, but they made me say that anyway.
