Oddly enough I did it by accident. I used the back of a pencil to scratch out the orange part. I took the eraser out of the back of the pencil and it worked really well. As for the design :) I did it free hand... When I drew it out Link looked like one of the Beatles and Rhett had a huge nose but I really like the end result.
