Water Fast

Water-fast, water-cast,

Under bridges rivers flow,

Standing fast, lightest cast,

Leaves blow past the catcher's eye.

Water-fast, water-cast,

Bristles landed far behind,

Seen today, gone tomorrow,

Funerary undertow.

High above in clear blue sky,

Right above blazing high,

Seeing all,

Wandering tall,

How I wish I could shine like you.

Here below, hand in hand,

Far, far beneath you we both stand,
