As told by Cameron (Eagadactyl)

A man named Dusk was walking through the forest. Dusk was what you could call an outlaw. He stole from the castle.

In the forest, he hoped to find food to eat. What he found was way different. He saw a man. But a bit shorter and with sharp ears.

“This is our land!” yelled the strange-looking man.

From Dusk’s few years of school, he knew this was not a man but an elf! The elf said to leave, but Dusk would not go. The elf got angry and he summoned the others. They all pointed their arrows at Dusk. All of them started shooting their arrows. The elves knew the bow better than any other living creature, but Dusk was a thief: he was faster than the arrows. He ran out of the forest.

The next day Dusk was walking through the castle. Well, walking around. He may be a thief, but he wasn’t all bad. He enjoyed the view.

But off in the distance he saw something marching from the forest. As it got closer he realized it was a squad of elves. They were going to start a war! Dusk didn’t know what to do. He felt the worst kind of guilt. He would have to sacrifice himself or let the others suffer.

He ran to the castle gate. The elves had knocked it down.

“Wait!” yelled Dusk.

He said to the elves that he would sacrifice himself as long as they didn’t hurt the castle and the people in it. The elves accepted it.

A few hours later, Dusk went up onto a wooden stage. He placed his head into the bucket. He saw an elf aim his arrow.

Then a women yelled, “Wait!” She said she brought a gift. Instead of killing the boy, they should take a potion of immortality. If one had just a sip, they would live forever unless killed.

The elves thought about it, and they took the offer. They left the castle and never returned. Dusk went to the woman who had given the elves the potion.

“What can I ever do to repay you!” said Dusk. Then he got a better look at the woman. It was a witch.

“You will work for me for the rest of your life!” yelled the witch!
