Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

From the Books and the Movies. I know we must all have them. Might as well put them all in one place.

The Shire must truly be a great realm, Master Gamgee, where gardeners are held in high honor.

"My friends, you bow to no one" ... (':

Please excuse me while I go explode from this one, simple sentence.

Pity? It was pity that stayed Blibo's hand. Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. Even the very wise cannot see all ends.

-Gandalf

And:

Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day. This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!
-Aragorn

And:

“There is nothing like looking, if you want to find something. You certainly usually find something, if you look, but it is not always quite the something you were after.”

Just to name a few :)

One of my favorites is from the Hobbit by Gandalf: "True courage is knowing not when to take a life, but when to spare one."

Elrond: "nine companions. You shall be the fellowship of the ring!"
Peregrin:"great! ... Where are we going?"

also, that faramir quote was in the extended edition. which i have.

Legolas: “Lembas bread. One small bite is enough to fill the stomach of a grown man.”

Merry: “How many did you eat?”

Pippin: “Four.”

and

Merry: "Longbottom Leaf. The finest pipe-weed in South Farthing.

"Pippin: "It's perfect. One barrel each. Wait. Do you think we should share it with Treebeard?"

Merry: "Share it? No. No. Dead plant and all that. Don't think he'd understand. Could be a distant relative."

and

[Èowyn approaches Aragorn.]

Èowyn: "I made some stew. It isn't much, but it's hot."

[She gives him a bowl and spoon.]

Aragorn: "Thank you."

[He tastes and looks up at her, trying not to grimace. He nods.]

Aragorn: "Mmm. It's good."

Èowyn: "Really?"

Aragorn: "Mmm."

[Èowyn begins to walk away. Aragorn turns to pour out the stew, but Èowyn turns around. He recovers, spilling some on his hand.]

There! LOL :P

Pippin: I didn't think it would end this way.

Gandalf: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path... One that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass... And then you see it.

Pippin: What? Gandalf?... See what?

Gandalf: White shores... and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.

Pippin: [smiling] Well, that isn't so bad.

Gandalf: [softly] No... No it isn't.

"Three rings for the Elven Kings under the sky,

Seven for the Dwarf Lords in their halls of stone,

Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,

One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne,

In the land of Mordor where the shadows lie.

One ring to rule them all,

One ring to bind them,

One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them,

In the land of Mordor where the shadows lie."

(almost) all from memory. ;) sorrynotsorry
