If you live in Maine and most of the things in the Maine Man song apply to you, come join the conversation!

I was just wondering, what part of Maine are you from? I'm in South Berwick which is about 10 min away from the border of New Hampshire.

Oh, you lucky girl! The first to start the Maine discussion! I wondered who would jump on that one, after all, it's featured in one of the best (IMO) R&L songs! Admiring your great state from afar, way out here in Iowa. LOL!! I've noticed lots of folks around the Kommity from Maine. I'm sure they will all flock here soon!
Yes, I hail from the great state of Maine and most of the things in the song do apply to me. For instance alot of the places featured in the video I have visited. My grandfather was a lighthousekeeper a long time ago. I have encountered moose on the highway. I come from Falmouth Maine.
Thats so cool that your grandfather was a light house keeper! My grandfather was a lumberjack. He cut down trees and makes them into furniture.

Several years ago, I spent a month in Cundy's Harbor, not far from Brunswick. Every morning watching I got to watch lobster men from my window out in the bay. It was a great time. Maine is gorgeous.

Go Sea Dogs!
I love Maine! Although I'm not a resident of any sort we usually go up to Ogunquit atleast once a year, but we haven't yet this year it's been too rainy.

We did however go to Gerish island, met my aunt and took the dogs swimming.
I love the ogunquit playhouse! have you ever been there? I saw Les Miserables last year and it was amazing!

I live in Portland and I benefit from the Child Tax Credit.
I am originally from North Carolina, but have lived in Maine since 1998. It is a beautiful state overall, and I love it here. I think one of the things I appreciate most about Maine is that you can visit the world without ever leaving the state. We've got Sweden, China, Paris, Naples, Norway, Peru, Mexico, Denmark, and Poland, and you can visit them all in a day without a passport or exchanging currency.
